After Bidaai ended, are you feeling a loss or are you glad for the break? All of us felt really bad when Bidaai went off air. We all worked as a team, as a family for over three years, so we were all sad. We were attached as team and now we have gone our separate ways. But we planned a kitty party before Bidaai ended and now we meet once a month at least, if not more. This has been a smart way of keeping in touch. |
What occupies your time now that you aren't working? I have been travelling a lot. I went to Paris, Singapore etc. I caught up on my sleep as while shooting I felt sleep deprived all the time. Now I get up at 11am and some days even later than that [laughs]. I have been chilling, taking it easy and spending time with my family. In last three years of doing Bidaai, I hardly had time to be with them. I have been working on my body, getting fitter. It has been fun. |
You even shot for a sexy photo shoot recently. Is that part of your new look? Well, I do want to look different and experiment with various get ups. That is possible mostly during photo shoots. I had fun being playful for the magazine shoot. The latest shoot was bit bold and had me in a cool dude attire. Maybe the next one will be hotter [laughs]. |
Rumours are that you have accepted a new show. Is it Imagine's Luteri Dulhan or Phulwa on Colors? I have three good offers but I haven't made up my mind as to which show suits me the best and which role is most interesting of them all. I am still mulling over the roles and will soon come to a decision. Till I do, I wouldn't like to comment on the shows. Everyone is very excited about my next step. Fans are eager to know which will be my next serial, next look, next character. So I don't want to disappoint them by choosing just anything. I am taking my time. I want my role to stand out. | |||

Are films the next on your agenda? |
How has becoming a celebrity changed you? A lot. My friends, family feel I have changed for the better. When you get successful, find pleasure in your work, and you are appreciated, all that gives you a certain confidence that reflects in your life and personality. Being a public figure adds an aura to your personality. When I am with my family and fans come to meet me for photographs or autographs- it feels very different. You feel very loved. I never get irritated or angry about them eating into my personal time as I am here because of my fans. Even if you are the best performer in the world, but have no fans -it is all worthless. |
Tell us something that people do not know about you. I love shopping a lot. During my last trip abroad, I came back with 10 luggage bags full of clothes!! My family gets very irritated when I buy new clothes. I usually wear a new T shirt twice and then give it to my younger brother. That way I can buy new stuff and not worry about my old clothes. |
