I didn't take Yana to be a diva but this is quite surprising 😲

I love sensationalist news stories.

1) We don't know which award ceremony this is
2) We don't know who threw Yana out
3) We have no idea why Yana refused to wear the dress
4) The news channel is not the source, but the source is unnamed
5) The alleged telephone conversation has no mention of Yana specifically, who knows what the QA was
6) There is no response from Yana's side, not a mention if she was even contacted about it.
7) Technically based on the blimps of information, she was not "kicked out" like a gate crasher or obnoxious person at a club, but was let go off or fired from her modeling assignment. Thats a big difference.

This is nothing but a shoddy piece of journalism that provides sensation but no news. News is thorough reporting that frames an issue in context and answers every details and questions about an event. The channel has clearly chosen to leave out every bit of context and just relay juicy bits with more and more juice.

The class of Indian news has gone down the drain. Even Lindsay Lohan does not get this coverage even when she goes around all of West Hollywood without panties.

Note: This is not to defend Yana. There is a possibility that she threw a tantrum and had to be fired from her assignment. There is a possibility that she is unprofessional. I'm just highlighting bad journalism where anything any celebrity does, especially these 'item girl' types do is exploited and unprofessionally sensationalized so that the news source can cash in on controversy, outrage and shock value reaction.

Yaana Gupta was thrown out of at an award function over a dispute with organisers about costumes

Not long ago, Yaana Gupta was in the news for appearing at an event panty-less. Yet again, the drop-dead diva has come into the media spotlight over a costume dispute!

Gupta was supposed to perform at an award function that was to honour women. Shashi Ranjan, the organiser of the award ceremony, said, "Yaana was to perform at the award function, on February 7th, in Delhi.

During her rehearsals too she would throw a lot of tantrums. On 6th morning, the whole crew was to fly down to Delhi, for the award function and on the 5th night, Yaana refused to wear the costume designed by the designer assigned by us.

She wanted us to hire her designer and pay him Rs. 40,000. Not only this, she asked us to pay Rs. 20,000 to her staff as well. Just a day before we were supposed to fly to Delhi, she issued this like a threat, thinking I would give in to her demands.

This was very unprofessional on her behalf. If it was a genuine complaint, I definitely would have taken care. But this kind of attitude I have never yielded to.

So I asked her to leave. We had booked everything for her stay in Delhi, but now we have to replace her. TV actress, Jasvir Kaur, will now perform instead of her."

Gupta's spokesperson said, "This is to clarify that Yaana has not backed out of the show at all. There was an issue with the costume they had made and we kept trying to reach the team so we could sort it.

However, they did not respond to calls or mails and the next thing we found out was someone else was performing. Yaana is very professional and has never been unreasonable or difficult."
