I agree with the update. It is a way the Channel uses for cost cutting. A 1 minute shot, of Gopi walking, is dragged to a 3 minutes by changing it to slow motion. They may thus shoot 3 episodes in one day, for 1 day's fees for the actors, and they expect us to watch their advertisements, for which we are granted their lousy mourning music, and replays and cut and pastes from the music library.

This serial showed great expectations, and why do they treat these stories in such a lousy way?

Hope the next episode will be crisp and nice.

The story started well. The producers, actors, directors, writers are all human. They try to entertain us, and they have to make a profit as well.

We by our constructive critique can help them. If we can construct the same episode in some other way, someone should come and write about it.

This story tries to tell us about life in Rajkot, Gujarat. Some people with their hard work, like Baa's husband have built their fortune. From the nature of Baa, we can know he was a good man. He had two sons who were married to two women with different natures. Each tried to live according to the social standards of their time, and tried to build life around it. Kokila's husband is not business oriented like his brother, but his interests are in art and culture, which does not bring money. Kokila tries to build around it, without changing her husband. She grooms her son, to be the best business man and he becomes so.

Times change, modern India emerges, values change, education becomes easy, and children are influenced by their peers more than the parents, which is true and every parent knows it. The story tries to re-enforce this. What happens as a result, with the mobiles, parties, big malls and the parents still submerged in their old values and rituals, there is a generation gap.

This happens in a palace as well as the basti. What ails Urmila is that she can not get out of her rut, and her jealousy brings out the worst in her, and she grooms her daughter accordingly. But her husband, Dawal and others are genuinely good, and not affected by the way they have had to live.

Thus life treats all the same way, but we get affected differently and react in different ways. As a story, it has a great potential, and lessons to teach.

But as humans, we can not always be on the top. Sometimes we fail, and so instead of hitting those who try, hard, we do injustice. Let us hope that there will be brilliant writers, directors etc, just as our young actors and actresses have shown. We see them visibly, but behind them there are many who work and make the work of actors and actresses seen by the public.

Viewers also should therefore grow in maturity. Hope all this augurs well for our country, India.

The serial was interesting today, with all the confusion set in motion by Nani. Rashi is high on expecations, and wants to call her mother, but just in time is interrupted by Kokila. She has to prepare the bath water for Nani, in the guest room. She grudgingly goes away. When the water is set, the Nani comes and tells her that she already had bath in Kinjal's room, which galls the girl, Rashi.

Ahem is given an ultimatum by his mother. In case he does not want to bring Gopi, then he personally explain to the Grand mother, and whatever she decides, Kokila will be bound by it, as she can not defy her mother, due to the tradition she has inherited from her. This tradition is gradually being lost by the children.

Ahem has made the decision to get Gopi back. In Urmila's house, Gopi entertains a small orphan girl, and makes a specialty which Kinjal likes for breakfast. Dhawal and Kinjal are happy, and so too the father. But when Urmi hears she flares up and then sends her servant packing and dumps some cash in her hand, thinking now Gopi has come back to do the servile work.

Just then the bell rings and Urmi goes to open the door, thinking it is the servant whom she packed off just before but is astonished to find Ahem. It takes a long time for her to regain composure, and the the father invites him in, but he says I will not come, but to get Gopi ready to go back to Modi house and he was waiting for her outside.

Nani gets a phone call from Kinjal, and the grand mother is happy, and passes the phone to Kokila who is terse. She wonders what is wrong between them.

In Modi house Rashi is scheming as ususal, and wants to curry favor with the Grandmother, and so she places the ear-rings at the altar, where Nani is praying. She goes and starts a conversation, and again Kokila sends her packing to the kitchen. Then the bell rings, and Rashi is ordered to open the door, and she too gets the Urmi effect, and stares, and then enters Ahem and Gopi - the royal couple, and is received with pleasure by the Nani, who remarks, looking at the size of the suitcase, whether she wanted to stay at home forever !

Kokila advises Ahem how sharp Nani is, and not to let her guess that there is difference between him and Gopi.

In Urmila's house Kinjal says she wants to see TV, and her father in law gives him the remote. He tells her, that her brother had come and to take Gopi back. Asks if he told her that her Nani had come. Kinjal coughs and says there is so much dust. Urmila tells that she will call the top woman back, and tells her that it was Gopi's work. Kinjal says she wants to go back to the room, other wise she will get sick, and Urmila grumbles.

Rashi feels free, as Kokila has left. She asks why Nani is sitting alone. She tells Nani that she has brought fashion magazine, to show her different colors of lipsticks. Rashi flatters her that she is so fair, that all colors would match her. Rashi wants to tell her to try the colors in the bathroom where the mirror is large. When she has gone to the bathroom, Rashi tries to fiddle with the box, and says it is heavy. Says there might be a lot of stuff. Nani comes out and asks Rashi what she is doing. "Nani .... " the old lady interrupts her and tells her that she wanted to keep the box some place safe and that as she has come, tells her to place the box near her bed.

Nani makes Rashi put the box safely under her bed. Tells her not to push the box with her foot, but with her hand. Asks her how the color matches on her lips. Tells her to give the other lipsticks as well. Rashi wonders how many things there may be in the box, and how heavy it was.

Gopi comes into the kitchen, and asks Hetal if she could be of help. Hetal tells her to cook the dhal, and asks Mani to bring red chillies. Hetal watches Gopi as she stares blankly. Asks if she is not feeling well. Asks her if she was told by Ahem thatg his Nani had come. Gopi thinks if Kanaji thinks of her. Hetal embraces her.

Rashi comes to her room and decides to call her mother. Tells her about the heavy box of the grand mother, and complains about the house. Tells her stories, and tells her what Kokila said. the bahus are like shade and light. And Urmila complains about her problems with Kinjal. Says that the servant wants Rs 200 more and Kinjal is sitting in the room and has closed the door.

Jiger comes behind and listens to what she says and asks her, what she said about Gopi. Tells her Nani is calling her and Rashi rushes out.

Nani is with Hetal and Kokila and says that she wants to know about the two young daughters in law. Tells Gopi to bring the box, and she lifts it and brings it. Nani tells them about how she brought up her children. Heltal, Kokila and the two girls, Rashi and Gopi listen to her who tells them that she wants to spend some days before her end comes with Kokila. She wants to give her possession to a person who is careful. Rashi wants to know what is in the box. Nani tells her important things of her life are in it. And one who gets it will be able to face all the problems of her life. Gopi's concerns are about Nani's welfare, and in reply Nani aks if her mother in law is a coward:? She says no, and so she tells her that Kokila's mother will be braver than her. Kokila wants to send Rashi to the kitchen. Gopi too goes out to the kitchen with her.
