After Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan lent their vocal chords for the film Baabul; it's now Aamir Khan and Kajol's turn to sing for their movie 'Fanaa.' The two actors will be starring in a Yash Raj film titled 'Fanaa.' The movie is highly anticipated as it will star Aamir and Kajol for the first time and it will also be the comeback film of Kajol after her hiatus from films post childbirth.
Although Aamir has sung for his earlier films like Ghulam, Mangal Pandey and Rang De Basanti, this is the first time that Kajol will be experimenting with her vocal chords. The talented actors will be singing two songs for the film titled 'Mere Haath Mein' and 'Chanda Chamke.' Aamir and Kajol will sing these songs along with other well-known singers like Sonu Nigam, Babul Supriyo, Mahalaxmi Iyer and Sunidhi Chauhan. The recent trend is to have remixes of various numbers in a film, as they seem to be more appealing to audiences. Also, audiences prefer fast beats to which one can groove away. Hence, there is a remix in this film too of the song 'Chand Sifarish' by DJ Aqeel.
In the film Fanaa, Aamir plays a lighthearted, fun loving boy who is a local tour guide and also an incorrigible flirt, while Kajol plays a blind Kashmiri girl. The story revolves around these two characters and their lives. The music of Fanaa will release worldwide on April 12th. The music has been given by Jatin-Lalit and Prasoon Joshi has penned the lyrics. The movie has been directed by Kunal Kohli and the scriptwriter is newcomer Shibani Bhatija. The title 'Fanaa' means to destroy oneself or to wipe out one's identity. The film is slated to be released around 19 or 26 May.
