Bhojpuri actress Reena Rani in Phulwa

Swastik Pictures' Phulwa on Colors is set o air from January 10 and has almost finalized the cast. The latest name on the cards is Reena Rani, a Bhojpuri actress who plays Phulwa's mother.

A source says, "Reena plays Imarti. She has done cameos in shows like Jhansi Ki Rani and CID. A Bhojpuri actress, she is doing a full-fledged role for the first time. Imarti is a very strong-willed woman. She will not tolerate any injustice to Phulwa. She rejoices in her small victories and supports her child. She is very protective about her family as well. She listens to her husband even if she knows he is wrong and when she is proved right, she speaks her mind. She is sorted."

Reena confirmed she is part of the show. She says, "I am very happy to play Imarti's character. She is strong."
