Jules wakes up naked in the woods. She finds a bunch of dead bodies and realizes that she's killed them. Putting on some clothes, she tries to get rid of the bodies and a cop comes. At his arrival, she pretends to be the friend of the dead beings. As the cops leaves to call in, she whacks him with a bark and he falls unconscious.
Stefan takes some more vervain so that he can get used to it.
Damon lies to Rose and tells her that she's getting better. He leaves Elena in charge of Rose and tells her to take care of her.
"The sooner she dies, the better." -Damon.
Tyler and Caroline are at school [the BBQ is happening] and Caroline reveals that a werewolf bite is fatal for a vampire but before Tyler could reply, Matt appears. He and Caroline kiss and Care pushes him away and runs away.
Matt is not only confused but very hurt.
Jules talks to Chief Forbes asking about Mason and Alaric calls Damon telling him about Jules. Stefan and Alaric talk about Isobel and if she could help. Alaric tells him that he had an old number which he will text to Stefan after he finds it.
Elena enters Damon's room for the first time and she is quite surprised. Rose and her chat for a bit and suddenly, Rose goes rabid. Thinking Elena was Katherine, Rose attacks her. "It's Elena Rose. I'm not Katherine!" -Elena
Rose calms down and she tells Elena about her home.
Stefan is sitting in the Bar&Grill and he gets the text from Alaric. When no one picks up the phone, Stefan leaves a message saying it was urgent and about Elena. That's when Damon enters the bar&grill. Stefan warns him to not make a scene because people were present. He leaves after his phone starts ringing.
Damon promises Jules that if she tells him how to cure a werewolf bite, he would not kill her. "Take a stake and drive it through her heart."- Jules.
Elena returns to Damon's bedroom with clean sheets for Rose and doesn't find her there. Elena finds Rose in the basement drinking from the blood packets that Stefan had kept in the freezer. Elena gets terrified and runs away when Rose gets rabid again. She locks the door to a room and stays there with the blinds open. While later, Rose pleads Elena to open the door and that she knows Elena isn't Katherine. Elena decides to remain in the room.
Matt finds Care in the hallways and she reveals that she loves him. Diane, a girl asks Matt for something and as soon as his back is turned, Care runs.
Back at the Salvatore House, Elena finally decides to come out of the room. Clutching the leg of a chair, she creeps open the door and steps out afraid. Damon comes back home and is surprised to see Elena so scared with a leg of a chair in front of her. He asks her about Rose's whereabouts and she tells him she doesn't know.
Rose arrives at the school puking. A janitor there asks her if she was okay and she lunges for his throat killing him. Chief Forbes calls Damon and both Damon and Elena reach the school.
A couple is walking to their car when both of them are killed by Rose. Damon yells at her to stop and she lunges for him but he manages to calm her down. She starts crying and is carried away by Damon.
Elena enters Damon's bedroom where Rose lay on the bed. Damon tells her that she shouldn't be there in a rather very rude way after Rose apologizes to Elena. Rose talks about how she missed being human. Rose suddenly cries out in pain. "Just go! I got this." -Damon.
Tyler asks Care why she would risk her life for him and the conversations leads up to a kiss. Care pushes him away annoyed. "Everyone just needs to stop kissing me!" -Caroline.
Damon makes Rose dream of her home. She dreams that she and Damon are at her favourite place and are enjoying the sunshine which is something she hasn't been able to do for 560 years. She talks about how she would be able to meet Trevor and many other people if she died. "I'm not afraid anymore." -Rose.
Then Damon stakes her with tears rolling down his cheeks.
Jules tells Tyler that Care killed Mason and that there were many other vampires. She also tells him that there were many other like him, out there and that she was his friend.
Damon shows Rose's body to Chief Forbes and tells her that he will get rid of it.
He returns home where he finds Elena. She tells him not turn off his feelings. But he tells her that he wasn't human and he felt but it sucked. He also tells her that he didn't want to give up like Elena who always gave up.
She gives him one last hug before leaving.
Elena returns home to find Stefan........with John.
Damon is lying on the road drunk. He starts crying and Jessica [the girl] finds him there. She gets out the car and gets scared of him almost instantly. Damon ends up killing her returning to his old ways in order to hide his feelings from everyone.
