Swapna Waghmare is my fave director-Hiten

STAR One's prime time show Rang Badalti Odhani will see an interesting twist with the entry of well known actor Hiten Tejwani. His role is compared with Shah Rukh Khan's role in Kal Ho Naa Ho. His entry in the show is likely to happen this Wednesday. Here he would play the catalyst in getting Shantanu and Khanak back together.

What is it that you like about Odhani? What made you take up the role?

This show is completely different from other shows which are currently on air. I love the way the actors have done their job. I have signed up this show becasue of Swapna Joshi Waghmare, who is the series' director. She is my favourite director. We're working together for the first time after Kutumb.

Tells us something about your role?

The brief which I have got from the creative team is that my role is just similar to Shah Rukh Khan's character in Kal Ho Naa Ho. I stay at Khanak's village, Dhulwadi .I haven't started shooting for this character yet, so it would be a little difficult for me to say.

How different is this character from others that you have played in the past?

The only difference is that this character is based in the village. It's the first time that I am doing such a thing. I will be donning traditional attire. So it's pretty exciting

What do you have to say to the people who don't trust their spouses?

I advise them to trust their spouses and take their side in a situation like this.

In real life, have you ever played Cupid?

Not yet...

In the recent past, you have being very selective in doing shows. What made you be that selective?

I have worked continuously, which was quite hectic for me. So, I just decided to do very selective roles. Now my family has extended, and I want to spend time with them.

What tips you would give to Shantanu?

Just trust and love your partner, and don't make any hasty decisions which would affect the lives of two people.

Tell us about your kids – Nevaan and Katya? Some precious moments you've shared with them.

They have now become 14 months old. Every moment spent with them is precious. They are both very naughty, but help me relax.

All your fans are waiting for you and Gauri to come back on television. Any message for them?

I just want to thank all those who have loved our jodi. However, it would take time for us to make a comeback together onscreen.

If you were in Shaan's place now, how would you react in the current situation?

I wouldn't have shown mistrust towards my wife. I would have first listened to what she has to say.
