please guys give that poor girl a break. while the whole mad mansion was happily dancing and celebrating, this poor girl not even caring for her make up costume etc was frying in the kitchen. all she gets is reprimand. i realize one thing,GIRLS never ever dream of becoming the first vahu of any family, you have to shoulder responsibilities. this is what the CVs are trying to project.

So true, all the household chores are left to you. First to wake up (collect milk from Dood Wale) and Last to sleep (locking doors and windows) and especially not a big household like the Modi's, unless the family are the type with lots of maids and chef to cook, maybe not even then, as Modi's have maids but want Bahu to do everything anyway (afterall how much can you trust servants, they will steal everything, whilst you are tucked up in bed at night).

Also the husband when it's the eldest son, too much responsibilities at the family business, no time for holidaying and generally having fun, Jigar comes home much earlier than Aham. Same in other Serials like CCBM (Sid and Viren).

i just hate this attitude of the CVs. the channels anthem is about women liberation and what does this show present, women are slave. no matter what inner strength in one, they should at lest show or give some respect to her. it was not only gopi's fault but even hetal's. koki just showed her inability of shouting at urmi by blaming gopi.

This is one question ,that always came to my mind, does the elder vau always do the kitchen chores..............n no one to help her either...............doesn't all the ladies in the family help out too on such an ocassion...especially ur daughter's engangement or for ease appoint a caterer..............the CV's will do anything to up the TRP.............even though they send confusing messages to the public.😲

@Bold - not first bahu, but any bahu. I should know. I'm the second bahu in my sasural & my saas plays such games 😲 she tells me one thing & when I agree she'll twist it into something that she's being forced to do. She makes the eldest bahu's (who's the daughter of FIL's sister) life hell who has to live there. I'm lucky as I only go there for a month in the year. And when she came here to my house, she & my FIL literally took over the house. She has to go out every day & on the weekends have outside food only all the 6 times! And here in Dubai everything is so expensive! Then she won't be satisfied with eating just one thing, she has to have 2-3 different foods, then after eating she says it wasn't nice! And in India, if we want to order dosa once for dinner, she refuses saying she has already asked the servant to cook. Once in a while, my husband will say no problem, we'll eat that food in the morning, she gets so mad she won't talk to us. She'll go lie on her bed, then everyone has to go & request and cajole her to come to eat! 😡 My in-laws don't like me staying at my parents! It's like I have no relation with them after marriage. Last year FIL stated since Ramadan is coming when my husband comes, he'll take the kids & me to some place before he comes. After listening to it many times, I firmly informed him that I had no intention of cutting short the time with my parents, so better we go after 2 years when Ramadan has passed hubby's vacation. That definitely shut him up.
I'll end this here, as just remembering them has started my blood boiling! But one thing I'll say is that barring a few exceptions women like my paternal granny, no saas treats the bahus right. And then they say "Bahu kabhi beti nahin ban sakti"!
Sorry for my ranting 😳

hey not only your. all saas are universally like that. i m the youngest, yet since they used to live with me, (not now), i had to do all work and take back biting while they happily complain out me to others. dont take to heart. just take a pledge that when you become a saas you will be different.
