We catch up with the cute jodi- Shantanu (Karan Tacker) and Khanak (Yashashri Masurkar) from Rang Badalti Odhani on STAR One, as they speak about love, marriage and others issues dealing with romance. Read on to find out what your favourite onscreen couple has to say. |
What changes has marriage brought in you? Shantanu: I am much more grounded, focused and career-oriented after marriage. Khanak has inculcated the right values in me. I now respect people and money. I have also realized that behind every successful man is a nagging wife (laughs). Khanak: A lot of things have changed in my life. I have started dressing like a city girl. Over a period of time, I have also learned to love and respect Shantanu and his family members. Why, according to you, are Shantanu -Khanak a rocking couple? Shantanu: From the response that we have been receiving, it does prove we are quite rocking (laughs). Khanak: Their undying love for each other has made them a rocking couple. How would your dream date with Khanak be and vica –versa? Shantanu: Our dream date would be something that she would love and would make her smile. I would take her to Dhulwadi and cook traditional food for her. We would end the date with a romantic camel ride. Khanak: I want him to take me to my native village, and we should spend time together. It would be a cute village date. 5 tips to be a good husband Shantanu: All husbands should learn to dance in a towel – just like Shantanu, who is an expert at it. They should also teach their wives to dance in a towel. They should be loving and caring towards their wives. Honesty is also important. Lastly, do not forget to praise and give your partner compliments. 5 tips to be a good wife Khanak: Trust and love your husband. Know what your husband likes to eat. Be loyal towards your spouse You should respect each other Be down-to-earth. 5 things you like about Shantanu The way he cares about me and loves me His singing talent His support all the time The way he blindly trusts me After marriage, he has become a responsible man, which I really like about him. 5 things that you love about Khanak I love her simplicity, honesty, the effort that she puts into everything, her love for me, and the fact that she is genuine. You and Khanak are complete opposites. What is the secret of your successful relationship? Shantanu: Just the fact that we are opposites creates a superb balance between us. We also try to understand each other. Khanak: The care and love which we share, which always works in any relationship. Khanak is going through a tough time, now that Suraj's look-alike has entered. How do you plan to support her? Shantanu: I am trying to be understanding towards her, unlike most husbands who would be insecure. I am trying to handle the situation in a mature way. How are you handling this issue of Suraj's look-alike ? Khanak : For me, it's quite disturbing, but at the same time, I know the fact about him. Even Shaan knows it. This tension won't create any awkward situation between us. What advice you would give to every married couple? Shantanu: Marriage is not a compromise. It is an adjustment and mutual agreement. Khanak: Just have faith and love your spouse unconditionally. Support him in every dire situation, and if he is wrong, try and mend his ways. What message you would like to give to STAR One fans? Shantanu: Recently, I was unwell, and I was so touched seeing the concern of my fans. I am not active on Twitter, but created an account just to thank my fans. I went through my fan pages, and again, want to thank all you guys for all the wonderful wishes and messages. Khanak: I would like to thank my fans for their love and support. I am glad that the audience loves the show. The fan mails have been lovely, and I can't wait for them to see the rest of the show.
