Veejay-turned-actress Shruti Seth has found love again! She is dating Danish, an assistant director working with Yash Raj Films. The couple has been spotted at cosy dinners and snuggling up at multiplexes.
Says Seth, "It has been six months now that we have started seeing each other. He's amazing, fantastic and extremely intelligent. His sense of humour has me giggling and cracking up all the time."
On the sets of Fanaa
The couple had a chance meeting on the sets of Kunal Kohli's Fanaa. While Seth will be seen playing a cameo in the film, boyfriend Danish has assisted Kohli. What started of as a professional acquaintance has now taken the shape of a steady relationship.
Says Seth, "He was the first assistant director that I had interacted with. We shared a lot of common interests and gradually, got talking after wrapping up for the day."
Aspiring filmmaker
Talking about her beau, she further adds, "Danish is Delhi-based and he moved here for professional reasons. He intends to turn a filmmaker soon and is presently getting hands-on-training." Seth is also planning to make her foray into films but rues about her a choc-a-bloc schedule owing to her television commitments.
"The television grind has left with no time to concentrate on films and thereby reduces your chances to experiment. So whenever I'm relatively free I trying to do something in films," she says.
With boyfriend Danish aspiring to make a film do we see her as the leading lady, "It's too early to say that. Danish is a private person and he wouldn't want me to talk about our future plans."
When quizzed about her character in Fanaa, she refuses to divulge any details, "As per my contract, I'm not allowed to reveal anything about the film."
The actress has recently bagged a new soap, which is a sitcom for a Pakistani channel.
She attributes it to the popularity of Star Plus weekly Shararat. "Shararat has been a big blessing for me. They liked my portrayal as Jeeya on the show.
This new show, yet untitled, will be entirely shot in Dubai and mainly has a lot of reputed Pakistani actors. I'm quite excited as I start shooting from the month of May. I'm sure it's going to open new opportunities for me once it goes on air."
