ON THE SETS - JUHI FINISHES 1,000 KUMKUM EPISODES
J uhi Parmar will soon complete 1,000 episodes of playing the lead role of Kumkum in the afternoon serial by the same name and with the show taking a 20-year generation leap, the actress is all set to play mother to three grown up children. Playing an older character doesn't bother her as she simply says, "I'm an actor. Tomorrow I may even play a college girl. The audiences know the difference between Juhi Parmar and Kumkum."
I watch TV for... Where is the time to watch TV? If I do then it's purely to entertain myself. Instead of watching a show for half an hour I prefer to surf channels, watch music channels or some English shows. Your all-time favourite show on TV I love Sarabhai v/s Sarabhai and some shows on Star One. Show/Serial I would give my right arm for... Nothing really.
An alternative ending you would suggest for any serial... Yes, I think my character of Chanda, a village girl and Kumkum's twin in Kumkum was something I wished would never end. I think Chanda is closest to me. Your pet peeve against working in television... Definitely, the long working hours. I think it's important for TV actors to get enough time to unwind because playing a lead character especially in daily soaps for long hours can be very taxing. I really wish we had flexible working hours.
