Sonu Nigam's li'l sis sings big!

There couldn't have been a more melodious start in Bollywood for this chirpy 21 year old. Sonu Nigam's little sister Neekita Nigam is all set to woo the audience with her first-ever Hindi number in Indra Kumar's film, 'Pyare Mohan.'
The song, an item number, is a duet with singer Sunidhi Chauhan.
Neekita initiated her musical journey with composer Sandeep Chowta, singing for three of his Telegu films in 2005. "Sandeep has been my mentor – he helped me start from scratch. But working with Anu Malik in 'Pyare Mohan' was different since he is so senior. Yet he made me feel very comfortable," she smiles.
Ask her about her relationship with Sonu, and she willingly adds, "I'd rather be known as Sonu's greatest fan than his baby sister. He is the biggest musical institution for me."
But what about the pressure of being compared to one of Bollywood's greatest voices? "My brother is super-talented and has struggled a lot for his success. I'll be lucky if people think I come anywhere close to him."
Incidentally, Neekita, who is already planning to release an album of her own, is very keen on her music representing her energetic and youthful self. "I don't want to be just a singer but a complete performer. I'm going to try everything from singing to acting to live performances," she confidently signs off.
