ARBAAZ upset after SALMAN ignored at awards - Page 3

Arbaaz should realize by now that awards don't mean anything in Indian award shows...there's no standards or value b/c 3 actors end of winning in one night...so chill out and just have some fun b/c Salman did a fantastic job and the audience knows that, and a few jury members' decision doesn't change that fact!

What is wrong in what Arbaaz said??? As a brother & a producer he shared his feelings.

he should have got an award long back for his performance in films like HAHK, maine pyaar kiya and tere naam..and hum dil de chuke sanam apart from these four films i dont think he deserves award for anyother film

oh be it, salman is way beyond awards, he believes that a ticket that has been bought for 2 and half hours of entertainment should be paid off very well and dabangg has done it, so awards or no awards, sallu is the best for his fans

you are looking at only salmaan, he might have been excellent in those films but THAT year some other actor gave a stupendous performance so obviously salmaan wouln't win

Eg: HDDCS - he was nominated for it, but sanjay dutt swept all the awards that year for vaastav which is one of his best performance to date


...... Somehow i think, actors are stuck in a sarkaari-naukri mode .... its been so many years, i should be promoted ........ its been so many years, i should get an award ......... why?


Nowdays all awards are pretty much a joke .... but salmaan never won even when awards were serious business ..... and arbaaz should seriously stop whining .... when salman wants to say something, he'll say it himself ... its not as if he is ever at loss for words

Of course Salman deserves the awards. He was fantabulous in Dabangg, no other actor could have pulled off that role. His character had shades of action, comedy, romance, suppresed anger .etc He emoted each 1 of them superbly.

Salman has given memorable performances & not been rewarded so this isn't new. His acting in Andaaz apna apna, Saajan, MPK, HAHK, Judwaa, Tere Naam , JEM etc are a testimony to the same.

Agreed! Salman should have gotten an award for Judwaa, AAA, HAWK, Hum dil de chuke sanam, and many more... I personally believe awards don't do actors justice. I feel a lot of actors now adays that aren't even worthy of awards get them such as Abhishek, I don't know which awards but a lot of times he got awards when there were better performances out there. No wonder ppl like aamir don;t even attend...

And if Salman doesn't have a problem, why does arbaaz ? lol.. i didnt even understand the story of dabang to be honest...

i did some googling (i have way too much time!)

during MPK - jackie shroff won it for parinda and
during HAHK - nana patekar won it for Krantiveer




..... which in my opinion were fair because both these performances were much better than salman's ...... remember - this was the time when there was only filmfare not two dozen lame awards just to make quick money, awards were given to people who deserved irrespective of film's box office status and there were no bollywood groups whose egos had to be stroked ...
