Technology taken over...

Hey all, So I just read an article about how people who play games, such as ones on Playstation are obsessed and spend hours trying to win and get to the next level. I think that it's a bit obsessive. Its the same with most technology, we can't leave the house without our phones or even sit through a lecture without looking at my phone. So what's your take?? Are we obsessed with technology to a point where its taking over our lives or is it normal to spend hours on our phones and games online??
