Frankly all these dances are the end result of the great music they play.
Good music is needed to create the moves I think.
MJ was great at it and was a master of moves.

I agree music is so much important to create that atmosphere to dance and make other feel like dancing. I thought some of the contestants got selected because the beat of the song they wer performing was good and Judges felt like dancing themselves and some other missed out because the song was useless even though they were better dancers.

The judges know dances so they will not be so easy to fool but music does play a part.
Of course some good contestants were ignored too.
