Salman Khan bagged the Best Actor Jury Award at an award function last night. Apparently the actor was expecting to win the Best Popular Actor Award which went to Shah Rukh Khan.

According to a source present at the award function, Salman Khan (for Dabangg) was the most deserving contender in the 'Popular' actor category. He was nominated alongside Shah Rukh Khan (for My Name Is Khan).

The actor was present backstage when the Jury Award and the Popular Awards were announced. Disappointed with the announcement, Salman refused to come on stage to receive his award.

However, brother Arbaaz Khan went on stage to receive the award on Salman's behalf. Arbaaz also spoke about Salman's presence at the venue yet absence on the stage in his thanksgiving speech. Sources also claim that an angry Salman refused to perform at the Awards Ceremony until the organizers coaxed him. Salman calmed down later and performed towards the end of the show.

Lol finally he gets a jury award which I think he didn't deserve he doesn't show up😆 But for his fans he should have recollect it! Hrithik deserve the jury award with his mindblowing performance!!

Salman should have got the popular award, which he deserve, he got the biggest hit in bollywood 2010 😃

sch a FALSE story... but i agree he desrved tht popular award.. Salman was the only actor who was popular through out the 2010....

I think it should have been the other way- Salman receiving popular award and SRK getting the jury award. That would have made more sense. However, if the sources are true then such behaviour is indeed childish and petty. Bottom line is that he won an award for best actor and he should have enjoyed his success, rather than complain. Salman is spoiling it for his own self.
