Maan smiled at this....for once Geet didn't have anything to say back, he had caught her off guard and hearing her confused state, was giving him more reasons to enjoy................it reminded him of...*and he instantly let go of the thought...not wanting to go in that direction again*

Geet: look it's nothing of that sort........and anyways I don't always mix my lingo, just with people I know will understand what I'm saying, I mean I would never be seen or heard for that matter talking to a british person in Hindi/Punjabi....now would you...only with people like us na.....

Maan: Us??

Geet: Yes US....*deliberately emphasising the word so he heard it clearly...not understanding his need to repeat it...........until she finally replayed the last few words* Er...I mean...Uffoo I mean - Us Asians - of course.........and anyways you understood what I was saying - be it in whatever lingo it was na?

Maan: Yea I did...

Geet: Bas..toh phir.....what's your problem?

Geet: Fine then.....and anyways I've always been like this, you know na...I mean even in DPS, remember how I.....*and Geet trailed off as silence took over from both sides, as both recalled their DPS encounters and experiences*

There was yet another awkward silence.......(Tishuu's beginning to think, they both need some counselling to get the hell on with their lives rather than get clogged up with the past)

Maan is surprised at Geet's innocence - he truly did miss her ditsy side to things....WHAT?? What am I thinking..I missed her....what no no I can't think like this......oh dear.......I'm going mad.....

Geet: Ohhh helloooo.........hey..........where did you go?.....look MK.....er Maan....look mister you can't just go and become one of those silent callers - I want answers yea....you can't just go leaving me mid conversation...you called me a fish and I want to know why? Hellooo.............Maan?? uffoo....you can't just leave me hanging here you know -do you know how rude that is, hey I'm talking to you...are you even there? uff...had hogayi....you're the one who calls and tells me about finding my planner and ab khud gayab.....hawww wait wait wait...my planner...you have that....heyyy MK..Maan...no MK...Maan..ufff oiiiii come back...er Hello.....kahan hoo??? ........MAAN? hellooooo.....

*Geet gets a little restless not hearing anything from Maan's side, not even the slight giggles that she had heard from before....nothing to let her know that he was still there*

.......though she had never had dreamt that she would ever see the day that HE calls her, but now this was actually happening - this was not exactly how she would have wanted things to have turned out............she could have at least been much nicer, afterall he was calling for a good cause and being considerate....and what has she been doing - just plain rude...uff...pata nahi kya sochta hoga mere baare main....haww.......babaji...........tusi meinu rok nahi sagde si......GEET tu babaji ko kya keh rahi hai......bas bolti gayi bolti gayi...ab bhukt....bechara MK...Maan...MK ufff ek toh yeh nahi samaj main aata ke konse naam kahoon...aur upar se yeh toh kuch bol nahi raha...........

Geet: Er......helloo.......anyone there???.........look I'm sorry na......what for....I don't know...but hey you started it....you called me a fish...that was not nice......and then to top it you were being all stubborn and you know na.......I don't like it when others are stubborn with me.........uffo kuch boloooooooooo.................MAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNNN *Geet shouted down the phone after finally reaching her "sabhar ka baandh"*

Maan: Haaaaaaannnnnn.................I'm here baba.........gosh....... *Maan broke out after hearing her shout*

Maan had initially drifted off with thoughts to another time and place - to somewhat better times that he'd shared with Geet....but he was soon pulled out of that when he heard the urgency in Geet's voice and since then he was trying to get her attention and talk, but she just wouldn't stop and he never got that chance to speak up... partially because as he said before, once she began talking, no-one could get a word in edgewise and also because Maan was hearing Geet talk sooo freely and easily with him after such a long time, he didn't want to spoil her mood by interrupting her....rather let her be happy be what she loves........which is to talk talk and talk!

Geet: Achaaaaaa Now you talk...........when I finally shout out to you......lagta hai...you don't understand pyar ki bhasha......aur hogi bhi kaise......all the time you are in your gussa gussa moods that even if you tried to understand any other way of talks you couldn't....kyunki tumhe sirf gusse ki zubaan samaj main aati hai...haina?

Maan: What......that is sooo not true......main humesha angry nahi hota.......only sometimes...when people like you make no sense at all...and what's this I don't understand pyar ki bhasha...what pyar ki bhasha haan??

Geet: Pyar ki basha......mera matlab hai........woh...you don't understand anything put to you straightforward....only if I shout or scream down the line to you - otherwise no.....you seem to be oblivious otherwise......humph

Maan: Oh ho ho ho....enough ok.....mujhe sab samaj main aata hai...when you get time from your bhashan toh you can listen to what I have to say na......but no....you are like a speedy car...ek baar chal gayi...toh bas stop hone ka naam hi nahi....

Geet: WHAT??????????? *As geet jumps up from her bed in astonishment*

Maan instantly regretted having said too much.....he knew sooner or later Geet would certain burst.....there was no way she could take it that someone -and that Maan Singh Khurana would answer her back for as good as she got.........

Maan: Oh god...er Geet....look I was.....

Geet: OMG.......

Maan: What....?

Geet: You.....are.......

Maan: Geet bolo....spit it out....abhi!!!!

Geet: you.....you're speaking...
