Sacha Pyaar - Part 5
After the show Adi and Maan made their way home in Maan's Ferrari. Adi decided to take over the wheel since he saw that Maan is still lost in his own thoughts.
Adi: Show kaisa laga, Maan?
Maan was still thinking about Geet and didn't hear what Adi said.
Adi: Maan?!
Maan: Huh?
Adi: Kahan koye hue ho tum? I asked you how the show was...
Maan: Oh, haan. (Answering with enthusiasm now.) Show bahut acha tha, yaar! It was brilliant! Mujhe tumhe thank you kehna hai.
Adi thought Maan was being sarcastic because at first Maan was complaining when he found out that they had to go to a classical show. Now he's thanking Adi for dragging him to this show? Adi was confused.
Adi: Okay, stop it, Maan. You know it was Dadima's idea. Main tumhe kabhi force nahi kartha if it wasn't for Dadima, jisne tumhe jane ke liye kaha tha.
Maan: Nahi, Adi. I mean, seriously, man. I really enjoyed the show!
Adi couldn't believe Maan's answer. But he thought back to how Maan was reacting throughout the entire performance. He remembered each and every one of Maan's expressions very clearly and convinced himself to believe now that Maan might be telling the truth. He was really happy that Maan admitted though, instead of covering it up. Because Maan likes to have a reputation of himself, always being known as the "Chill Out Guy." He was really embarrassed to go to a classical show when Adi first asked him to go and was afraid of people knowing about it. But not thinking about his reputation and admitting the fact that he really enjoyed the show surprised Adi big time.
Adi (thinking to himself): I don't believe this! Kya Maan really just admit ki usko ek classical show pasand aya? Yeh tho iske reputation ke bareh mein kitna kuch sochtha hain. Agar media walon ko yeh pata chala tho? Kya ho gaya hain Maan ko? Jab se show shuru hua, he hasn't been himself.
For the rest of the ride home, Maan kept looking out the window still thinking about Geet. Adi let Maan be and concentrated on driving. At home, Dadima was eagerly waiting for Maan to arrive from the dance.
-------------------------
Meera and Pinky dropped Geet home. Both of them were so worried looking at Geet's state. Ever since they left from the hospital she had been crying non-stop. They didn't want to leave her alone at night, but both knew that she would want to be by herself tonight. Yet they wanted to give a shot at convincing Geet to stay over at their place.
Meera: Geet, tum aaj raat ke liye humare saath ruk sakti ho.
Pinky: Haan, Geet, agar tum chaho toh tum humare ghar mein jitni der tak rehna chahtiho tum reh sakti ho!
Geet: Thank you, guys, par mein teek hu. Bas akheli rehna chathi hu.
Meera: Alright, Geet, agar tumhe kuch chahiye toh hume call karna.
Pinky: Aur haan, Geet, kal hum coffee pene chalte hain.
Geet: Coffee?
Pinky: Haan woh tumhari dance show ki success mein hum dono tumhe treat karna chahte hai. Kyun, Meera? (She said nudging Meera's elbow.)
Meera (understanding what the nudge meant): Haan, Geet, Pinky sahi keh rahi hai. Please na mat karna...
Pinky: Please, Geet...
Geet (forcing a smile not wanting to hurt her friends): Alright, kal hum chalte hai. Good night.
Pinky/Meera: Good night, Geet!
Geet went inside her house, her house which was their dream house -- hers and her husband's. She could still feel her husband's presence around the house. Because of that reason she didn't want to leave the house since her husband's death and refused to move in with Meera and Pinky, even though they had forced her many times. Geet still wanted her husband to be around her, to feel him, even if not physically.
-------------------------
Adi stops the car when they reach home. He opens his door to get down, but notices that Maan was still sitting in the car.
Adi: Maan, ghar aagaya hai.
Maan, still dazed, gets out of the car after hearing Adi and walks inside the house like he's sleepwalking. Adi follows behind Maan shaking his head looking at Maan's state.
Dadima: Lo, aagaye tum dono! Dance kaisa tha, Maan?
Maan ignored Dadima and went straight to his room. Dadima looked at Adi confused.
Adi: Kuch mat pucho usse. Car mein bhi aisa hi hal tha iska!
Dadima: Oh, kaisa laga iise dance?
Adi: Dadima, aapko dekhna chahiye tha Maan ko! Dance hone ke shuru aur end tak Maan ki aankhen khooli ki khooli rehgaye!
Dadima laughed at this.
Dadima: ...Itna pasand aaya use yeh dance?
Adi: Aaya nahi, Dadima, aayi kahiye. Mujhe lagta hai ki use dance karne wali pasand aayi hai!
-------------------------
Geet went to her bedroom and started crying again. She wasn't in the state to change her clothes, so she just laid on her bed thinking about her memorable past.
"Tu Jo Nahin Hain Toh Kuch Bhi Nahin Hain
Yeh Maana Ki Mehfil Jawaan Hain, Haseen Hain
Tu Jo Nahin Hain Toh Kuch Bhi Nahin Hain"
(Geet kept thinking about her husband and how everything happened in the blink of an eye when he died a year ago. It was all too fast for her to handle that when she heard the news she just broke down. Her life had changed completely since then. She couldn't handle the memories anymore, so she covered her face with a pillow to stop sobbing.)
"Mujhe Phir Tabah Kar, Mujhe Phir Rulaja
Sitam Karnewala, Kahin Se Tu Aaja
Kahin Se Tu Aaja"
(She imagines her husband lying next to her on the bed, where he used to sleep. She goes to hug him, to cry in his arms, but he disappears.)
-------------------------
Dadima: Sach beta? Acha shukar hai use woh pasand aayi. Iisi liye toh maine Maan ko iis dance pe janeko kaha aur woh special suit bhi banwaya tha. Adi, main toh bahut kush hu abhi. Agar Maan ne sach mein iis Geet ko pasand karliya toh mujhse zyada kush koi nahi hoga! Pata hai Adi, maine jab se Geet ko pehli baar dekha tha hospital mein, woh bachon ko dance sikha rahithi, toh maine tabi faisla kardiya tha ki wohi iis ghar ki bahu banegi.
Adi: Yes, Dadi, humara plan kaam kar gaya. Aapki decision toh bilkul sahi hai. Uss ladki, Geet, bahut achi lagi hai aur dance bhi achi karthi hai. Aur maine aapko bataya na meri friend, Pinky, ke barein mein? Wohi jo humare saath kam karthi hai? Woh toh Geet ki best friend hai, toh I can talk to her and woh bhi humara help kar sakthi hai iis dono ko milane mein. Magar....
Dadima: Magar kya, beta?
Adi: Magar Maan Geet se baat nahi karpaya!
Dadima: Uski mujhe fikar nahi hai, Adi. Mujhe toh kushi hai ki Maan ko woh thoda toh pasand aayi! (Winking at Adi) Aur jaise tumne kaha, agar tumhari friend bhi humara madat kar sakthi hai toh no problem, beta.
Adi (smiles at Dadi): Right, Dadima. Main Pinky se baat karta hu, as soon as I can. Toh main chalta hoon, Dadi. Subah aah jatha hu phir.
Dadima: Alright, beta, good night!
Adi (hugging Dadi): Good night, Dadi! (Adi leaves.)
Dadima (to herself): Maan, hum aapki kal subha khabar lenge.
-------------------------
Maan was still thinking about Geet as he entered his room and went straight to the bed. He laid on his stomach with his head on the pillow, smiling, thinking about Geet. Suddenly, he saw Geet standing in front of him with a smile, wearing the same outfit he saw her in at the dance. He sat up straight and looked at her with a grin on his face. He got off the bed and walked towards her with his mouth wide open. He stood in front of her and slowly raised his hand to touch her face. She was still smiling as his hand got closer and closer to her face, but as soon as his hand was about to touch her face, she vanished. He frantically looked around the room; she was no where to be seen.
Maan: Abhi toh yehi thi mere samane. Yeh kya hogaya hai mujhe?
He smiled to himself about his stupidity and took out his clothes from the closet to go freshen up. He came back from the bathroom and went straight to his bed. He laid there thinking about everything that had happened today. He seemed to have a hint of smile on his face as he slowly fell asleep.
The next minute Maan was back at the hospital entrance. He sees Geet with her friends in a crowd after the show. She was trying to get to her car. He felt like he had to do something to stop her from leaving; to not let her go out of his sight. Just as she was about to step into the car...
Maan:
"Maine Jise Abhi Abhi Dekha Hai..."
(Geet turns around to look at Maan)
"Kaun Hai Woh Anjaani"
(Maan points at Geet and starts walking towards her)
"Woh Hai Koi Kali Ya Koi Kiran
Ya Hai Koi Kahani
Use Jitna Dekhon Utna Sochon
Kya Use Main Keh Doon..."
Maan pauses his footsteps when Geet is just a foot away from him now...
"Pretty Woman"
(Geet smiles shyly at him)
"Hey Pretty Woman
Dekho Dekho Na Pretty Woman"
(The crowd joins in and sings with Maan)
"Pretty Woman
Dekho Dekho Na Pretty Woman
Pretty Woman
Tum Bhi Kaho Naa Pretty Woman"
Adi:
"Oy, Chakde phatte!"
Maan:
(Next few lines in slow motion. Maan looking into Geet's eyes)
"Aankhon Mein Hai Nasha"
(Walking around to gently play with her hair)
"Zulfon Mein Hai Ghata
Pehle Hamne Ada Yeh Haseen
Dekhi Na Thi Kahin
Dekhi Jo Yeh Pari
Masti Dil Mein Bhari"
(He places his hand on his heart and looks up at her.)
"Hai Yeh Jadogari Ya Nahi"
(Maan starts dancing with Adi and Geet's friends for the next few lines)
"Ho Na Toh Janu Kya Hain Naam Na Janu Main Pata
Par Itna Hai Maine Jaana
Jise Dekhle Ek Nazar Bhar Ke
Usko Kar De Woh Dewana
Use Jitna Dekhon Utna Sochon
Kya Use Main Keh Doon
Pretty Woman
Dekho Dekho Na Pretty Woman"
(Maan gets up on the car and starts singing/dancing like in the original Pretty Woman song, while Geet laughs at all the excitement. Everyone is seen dancing and having a good time.)
Song ends.
Maan jumps off from the top of the car, goes up to Geet and brings his right hand forward, as to give her a handshake. He was about to introduce himself, when suddenly he falls off his bed. He sits up and looks around to see what happened and sees no one there. He realizes he was just dreaming and wonders what is wrong with him. Why has he been acting and feeling weird ever since he came back from that dance show? He tells himself that it was just a silly dream and that he shouldn't think too hard about it and dozes off to sleep again.
-------------------------
Scene shifts back to Geet in her room, still thinking about her husband. The song continues from where it was left off...
"Aankhon Mein Tera Surad Basa Hai
Tera Hi Tarah Tera Gum Bhi Haseen Hai
Jidhar Bhi Yeh Dekhen, Jahaan Bhi Yeh Jaayen
Tujhe Dhundti Hai, Yeh Paagal Nigaahen
Yeh Paagal Nigaahen"
(She keeps seeing her husband everywhere in the room -- near the window, the dresser, the bathroom, the door...everywhere! He kept appearing and disappearing to the point where it was too much for Geet to handle, so she gets up and goes to the window.)
"Main Zinda Hoon Lekin Kahaan Zindagi Hain
Mere Zindagi Tu Kahaan Kho Gaya Hain"
(She looks out the window and thinks about how empty this whole life is without her husband; how lonely she is, even though she has many loved ones around her who care for her and who she cares for.)
"Tu Jo Nahin Hain Toh Kuch Bhi Nahin Hain"
She eventually went back to her bed after staying by the window for a while. She laid on the bed and trailed off to sleep in the early hours of the night, still thinking about the past.
-------------------------
Dadi couldn't sleep all night and waited eagerly for the morning. As soon as the sun came up she went to the kitchen and made Maan's favorite breakfast. She went to Maan's room carrying his breakfast tray. Maan was still sleeping. Dadi was surprised to see a smile on his face.
Dadima (pulling the covers off of Maan): Maan, bete, uto subha hogayi hai.
Maan (still in his sleep): Hmm...Dadima, please, aur do minute. (He pulls the covers back over his head.)
Dadima: Nahi, Maan. I waited all night... (Changing her tone) I mean, I made a special breakfast for you!
Maan: Thanks, Dadima. I will eat it later!
Dadima: No, Maan, tumhe abhi mere samne khana padega!
Maan (peeking his head out from under the covers): Dadima, aap bhi nah.
Dadima: Here, jaldi se khalo.
Whining, Maan sits up on his bed and starts eating. He looks over at his Dadima, who was smiling at him.
Maan: Dadima, kuch kaam tha mujhse?
Dadima (not able to control her enthusiasm anymore, comes straight to the point): Last night ka dance kaisa tha, Maan?
Maan (thinking about Geet again): Beautiful, Dadima. Kya dance kiyi thi usne!
Dadima (smiling): Kisne dance kiyi thi?
Maan: Huh, kuch nahi. Mera matlab hai, dance acha tha. (Continues to eat his breakfast.)
Dadima: Aur kya pasand aaya dance par?
Maan: Aur... (Thinks about his dream he had of Geet.)
Dadima: Aur?
Maan: Aur kuch nahi. Bas dance acha tha. Good breakfast, Dadima. Ab main tayar hokar aata hoon.
Dadima: Par, Maan, meri baat toh sono...
Maan (making his way towards the bathroom): Baad mein, Dadima. Adi bhi aata hoga. Aaj hum dono bahar ja rahe hai. (He closes the bathroom door behind him.)
Dadima (to herself): Koyi baat nahi, Maan. Aaj nahi toh kal tum mujhe zaroor bataoge.
She leaves the room to give Maan some privacy. When Dadima was going downstairs, she sees Adi already sitting at the dining table, eating the breakfast that was being served by Nakul.
Dadima: Arre, Adi, tum aagaye? (She walks towards Adi and sits next to him.)
Adi: Haan, Dadima, kya Maan se baat hui?
Dadima (puts on a sad face): Haan, hui bhi aur nahi bhi...
Adi: Matlab?
Dadima: Matalb ki humara pote ne kuch nahi bataya. Jab maine dance ke bare mein baat ki toh usne bola (mimicking Maan) "dance acha tha," bas. Yehi keh kar baat taal di.
Adi (laughing): Fikar maat kijiye, Dadima. Abhi toh usse waqt lagega apni feelings jaane keliye.
Dadima: Haan, tum shayad teek keh rahe ho. Bas jald se jald woh meri bahu ko ghar par lekar aajaye, bas aur kya pooch sakti hoon.
Adi: Haan, woh din ab door nahi hai, Dadima.
Maan: Kaunsa din?
Maan was making his way down the stairs when he heard Adi say that, which made him pick up his pace. He goes and sits next to Dadima. Hoping Maan didn't hear anything they talked about, Dadima and Adi look at Maan.
Dadima: Din?
Maan: Haan, din! Aap dono kaunse din ki baat kar rahe the?
Adi: Ohh, woh baat. Hum aaj ke din ki baat kar rahe the Maan.
Dadima: Haan, Adi batha raha tha ki aaj tum dono pura din bahar rehne wale ho.
Maan (excited): Haan, Dadima, aaj weekend hai, toh hum har Sunday ki tarah bahar jarahe hai.
Both Dadi and Adi were relieved that Maan didn't hear anything.
Adi (to Maan): Haan, aaj ke din ki kya planning hai?
Maan: Mujhe nahi pata. Tum kaha jaana chahte ho?
Adi: Umm, pata nahi. Usse chodo, hum baad mein car mein bhi decide kar sakte hai.
Maan agrees by shaking his head.
Dadima: Jab tak apna breakfast finish karlo Adi.
Adi: Ji, Dadima.
Maan (waiting eagerly for Adi to finish up): Ab chalo, Adi!
Adi: Haan, let's go!
Maan: Bye, Dadima. Main raat ko wapas aa jaoonga.
Dadima: Alright beta, bye and enjoy both of you!
Maan (with a big smile): We will, Dadi!
Adi: Bye, Dadima.
Dadima: Bye, beta.
Maan and Adi in the car:
Maan: Yaar, hum pehle kaha jarahe hai?
Adi: Umm, pata nahi. Har hafte tum hi toh decide karthe ho ke humko kya karna hai. Toh aaj bhi tum hi decide karna.
Maan: Haan, yaar, par pata nahi kyun aaj kuch soch nahi saktha hu. Kuch gadbad sa lag raha hai, toh kyun na tumhi decide karlo aaj ke liye...
Adi (worried): Kya? Sab teek toh hai na, Maan? Kya main car chalau?
Maan: Haan, yaar, sab teek hai bas aise hi kuch ajeeb sa lag raha hai kal raat se.
Adi felt a relief when Maan said "kal raat se." He now knew why Maan couldn't decide on where to go or why he isn't himself. And he knew the reason why.
Adi (thinking to himself): Mujhe pata hai kyun, Maan. Kyun ki tumhe Geet pasand aayi hai. Bas ab tumko usse pyaar hogaye toh tera life set hogayega!
Maan: Adi, kya hua? Kaha kho gaye ho?
Adi: Uh, kuch nahi, Maan. Main bas aaj ki soch raha tha, ke hum kya kare.
Maan: Arre yaar main yaha apni problem bata raha hu aur tumko aaj ki padi hai.
Adi (wanting to hear Maan talk about the dance again, asked purposely): Sorry Maan, main suna nahi. Tum kya keh raha tha?
Maan: Ugh, chodo. Acha toh tumne kya decide kiya?
Adi (disappointed): Haan, main soch raha tha ki humara usual place chale jathe hai.
Maan: Teek hai, arcade it is!
Adi and Maan make their way to the arcade place and start playing pool like they do every Sunday afternoon before they head off to a disco.
--------------------------
On the other hand, Meera and Pinky make their way to Geet's house. They have a spare key to her house, so they unlock it and go inside. They look all over the house for Geet and were surprised to find her still sleeping that morning. She's usually up early in the morning (even on Sundays) to get all her chores done for the day, so she can go to the hospital to teach dance for little kids. Today was her day off. They understood though why she was still in bed. It was because of her emotional breakdown last night. They decided not to disturb her and went to the kitchen to prepare lunch.
Pinky: Meera, kya banayenge lunch mein?
Meera: Hmm, kyun na hum aaj sab Geet ki favorite banathe hai?
Pinky: Good idea, Meera. Hopefully it will cheer her up!
Meera: Pata hai, I'm always the one with ideas. Isi liye toh maine tum dono se higher grades earn karke graduate hui thi! (Pops her invisible collar)
Pinky: Haan, haan, inti smart ho. Isi liye na tum ko ab tak job bhi nahi hai! (Laughs)
Meera: Kya bola tumne? Pinky, you are so dead now! (Throws a towel at Pinky)
Pinky throws back a spoon at her and Meera reciprocates by throwing something else at her. This continues for a while, which wakes Geet up. She assumes it's Pinky and Meera by the sound of it and goes into the bathroom to freshen up. She takes a nice long shower and comes out of her room all ready. She sees Pinky and Meera still going at it and fighting. Her kitchen was such a mess, but she didn't care because of the mood she was in. She was still lost in her husband's thoughts. She quietly lets her friends be and goes into the living room. She turns the TV on and starts to flip through the channels without even caring to pause in between to see what's on each one. Pinky and Meera realize that Geet is up so they stop fighting and go into the living room to see how she is doing.
Meera (trying to cheer up Geet): Good morning, Geet! Sorry agar humne tum ko disturb kiya ho toh. Woh kya hain na, Pinky started it!
Pinky (gives a look to Meera): Nahi, Geet, yeh jhoot bhol rahi hai. Yehi toh pehle towel pheka tha mere upar!
Geet stays quiet and is still flipping through the channels. Meera and Pinky notice this and they go sit next to her.
Pinky (sitting next to Geet and putting her hand on Geet's shoulder): Kya baat hai, Geet? Sab teek hai na?
Meera (sitting in front of Geet): Haan, Geet, kya hua? Tumhe pata hai na tum humse kisi ki bareh mein bhi baat kar sakti ho!
Geet (looking at Meera and then Pinky): Kuch nahi hai. Main teek hu! Bas unki yaad aagaya tha, par ab main teek hu! Aur haan mujhe pata hai ki tum kitne ache dost ho, tumne kitna support kiya mujhko when I needed it the most. Thank you guys so much!
Pinky/Meera: Dosti mein no sorry, no thank you! (Winking at Geet.)
Geet suddenly remembers her promise she made to her friends last night. Although she didn't want to go out anywhere, she decides to go with them for coffee today just to make them happy. She barely hung out with them ever since her husband's death. It's been a year since the tragedy and Geet still hasn't gotten over it. She decided to show her friends that she's happy again since they started to worry about Geet; So they could move on in their lives and stop worrying about her.
Geet: Meera, Pinky, hum coffee ke liye bahar jarahe hai na aaj?
Pinky and Meera were surprised that Geet was asking them if they're going out today. This hasn't happened in over a year, where Geet made the plan to go out. This is how it was when they were in college. Geet was the most outgoing one among the three of them, so she was always the one to make new friends and make plans of where they should hang out for the weekend; Pinky and Meera just went along with whatever Geet planned. But now it's the complete opposite. Meera and Pinky make the plans, while Geet mostly turned them down and ended up staying home, sulking. They decided to go along with Geet this time and not question her as this is the first time in a year this has happened and they didn't want to spoil the moment.
Pinky(shocked): Uh, haan, Geet. Hum evening ko jayenge! Waise bhi aaj tumko hospital nahi jaana hai na, toh hum sab ghoomne jayenge. For old times sake!
Meera (getting excited): Haan, yaar, it will be so much fun, just like college all over again!
Geet (not wanting to do anything else than just coffee): Umm...nahi, yaar. Aaj nahi, phir kabhi, please. Aaj mood nahi hai. Sirf coffee ke liye jayenge aur wapas aake raat ko ghar par saat time bhitayenge. Please...
Pinky: Teek hai. Lekin phir kabhi like you said! You promised us, so you can't go back on your words later!
Geet: Acha baba, fine. I won't!
Meera: Chalo, that's good! Pinky, chale? Hum toh lunch tayar hi nahi kiya.
Pinky: Oh teri, main toh bhul hi gayi thi. Chalo jaldi jaldi prepare karthe hai.
Geet: Toh hum kya banayenge aaj?
Pinky: Hum nahi, sirf main aur Meera. Aaj tum yahin rahogi aur TV dekhogi. Main aur Meera fatafat tere liye lunch lekar ayenge. Teek hai?
Geet: Par Pinky...
Meera (cutting Geet off): Par kuch nahi, Geet. Tum roz kitna kuch karte ho, toh aaj sirf hum ko karne do. Ab ek aur shabd nahi. Tum yahin rahogi. Ek bhi khadam aage aaye na, toh humari kasam!
Geet: Fine, main yahi rahungi. (While Pinky and Meera were making their way to the kitchen.) Par, please, mera kitchen kharab mat karna.
Geet watches TV, still flipping channels, but in a better mood than earlier. Meera and Pinky are in the kitchen preparing all of Geet's favorite dishes. They were done preparing lunch in an hour. They set up the dining table and sit down to eat their lunch. Geet was surprised to see all of her favorites and thanks her friends for doing all this for her. They all finish eating and make their way to the living room and decide to watch Mujhse Dosti Karoge until they go out for coffee.
-------------------------
Maan and Adi are still at the arcade but Maan was not himself there. He usually wins against everyone in pool, but today he was losing most of the games. Adi wondered if this was the affect of Geet. They started to get famished while playing games, so they decide to go grab lunch. They go to a nearby fancy restaurant and have their lunch there. After an hour or so, they finish their lunch and decide to go for some coffee at their favorite cafe before they hit the disco.
-------------------------
Geet, Pinky, and Meera finish the movie half way in 3 hours because they kept talking in between and fighting over silly things. It was mostly Pinky and Meera fighting, while Geet watched them, smiling. They decide it was time for coffee now since they had lunch a couple of hours ago. They pause the movie, so they can come back and finish it after. They all get ready and head out to Starbucks, a place that Pinky suggested because she heard from a friend that it's a really good cafe.
Once they get to Starbucks, they grab a table to sit down and order their drinks. Geet was normal for a change. She was really enjoying herself and was glad she had decided to come out with her friends. Pinky and Meera noticed the change as well and were really happy that Geet was finally changing to her old self again. They were talking just like the old times, laughing and making fun of each other. All of a sudden Pinky and Meera make a bet with each other, like they used to in college. This time it was a useful bet rather than the silly bets they used to make. Geet hated it when they made bets because she always ended up either getting in trouble with them or getting them out of trouble.
Meera: Toh Geet, lagaye bet?
Geet: Nahi, Meera, main tum dono ke beech mein nahi aane wali hu. Mujhe pata hai uska consiquences kya hoga!
Pinky: Geet, how can you say that? Last time was different, okay? Hum tab college mein the. Young and stupid! Ab different hoga. Come on, Geet, tum hi ko ab hum dono ka result dena hoga.
Geet: Pakka kuch gadbad nahi hoga na iis bar?
Meera: Nahi, Geet. Bas haan kehna.
Geet: Teek hai, toh kya deal tha?
Meera: Okay, so basically Pinky ko diet karna hoga and lose three kg. Aur mujhe zyada khake three kg gain karna hoga. In two weeks. Simple! Aur jo bhi haar jayega, woh winner ko five star hotel mein treat dega! Kaisa hai?
Geet: Hmm...not bad, pehle bets se toh bahut better hai! Par ek baat, main yeh sab kaise jugde karungi jab hum saath mein nahi rahte?
Pinky: Arre haan, humne toh yeh socha bhi nahi tha. Ab kya?
Meera: Hmm, well, Geet, you might not like this par how about tum aake humare saath rahe next two weeks ke liye?
Geet: Nahi, tum ache se jaanthi ho na ke main kabhi apni ghar chod ke nahi jaathi. Agar tum log aake mere saath rahe toh?
Pinky: Perfect, Geet! Haan, hum hi aagayenge. Tum ko bhi kuch help hoga ghar par aur hum sab ko bhi kuch change hoga har roz routine ke baad. Aur waise bhi phir se college days ki tarah hoga.
All of them were so excited that they will be living together again, like they used to in college, even though its only for two weeks. Geet is happy that she will at least be happy like she used to for a few weeks and Pinky and Meera are happy that they can keep a better eye on Geet.
Just then Maan and Adi arrive at Starbucks. It's both of their favorite cafe and their usual on Saturdays. But since they were at the dance yesterday and missed it, they decided to have it today. Adi was the one who told Pinky about this place, that's why she insisted they go there.
As soon as Adi walks in he looks around to see where they can sit and sees Pinky. He recognizes Geet with her and nudges Maan to look in that direction and sees the change of expression on his face. Maan involuntarily got so happy that it was clearly visible on his face. He was dull most of time at the arcade, but as soon as he saw Geet his energy was back.
Adi: Chal, Maan, Pinky ko hi kehte hai.
Maan, without saying a word, starts walking towards them. Adi was happy that Maan wants to say hi to Pinky, because Pinky and Maan hate each other like anything. Pinky does not talk to Maan because he used to flirt with her. Maan gave up on her because he thought she has an attitude problem. Now that he saw Geet with her, Maan wanted to be nice and say hi to Pinky.
Pinky didn't see Maan and Adi since she was facing the opposite direction. Geet and Meera noticed them walking towards their table since they were facing the entrance. Meera waved at Adi, which made Pinky turn around to see who it was. She sees Adi and gets really excited. She gets up to go hug him.
Pinky: What a surprise,Adi! Tum yaha kya har rahe ho? (Hits her forehead.) Main bhi na. Tum hi ne toh bataya tha mujhe iis cafe ke barein mein aur main tumhe puch rahi hu ki tum yaha kya kar rahe ho!
Adi: Ah ha ha! Haan, Pinky, it is a surprise. Maine socha nahi tha ki tum inti jaldi yaha aaoge.
Maan: Hi Pinky! (She ignores Maan.)
Adi (knowing Pinky is ignoring Maan on purpose): Uhh...toh Pinky, kaisa laga yahan ka coffee?
Pinky: Haan, yaar, it's so amazing! The coffee is so great here! Thank you so much iis place ke barein mein batane ke liye. Ab yeh meri regular hangout hogi! (Giggles.)
Adi: That's good, glad to hear that!
Pinky (realizes she left her friends alone at the table): Arey, Adi aao meri saath, meri friends se introduce karvathi hu.
She drags Adi to the table and Maan just follows. She goes and stands where she was sitting and Adi stands next to her. Maan goes and stands next to Geet.
Pinky (pointing to Meera and then Geet): Yeh Meera hai. You've already met her at the dance show. Aur yeh Geet hai, the famous dancer!
Geet (feeling shy): Please, Pinky.
Meera waves at Adi again and Geet just smiles at him. Meera looks over at Maan and gets dazed.
Meera: Aur yeh kyon hai ,Pinky?
Pinky: Yeh mera boss hai, Maan.
Maan: Hi, ladies, looking lovely today!
Geet looks away.
Meera (blushing): Hi, Maan. Thank you! You look handsome yourself!
Maan: Thank you, uhh...
Meera (getting up to shake Maan's hand): Meera.
Maan: Meera, nice name. (Looking at Geet now.) And you are?
Geet (giving him attitude): Geet.
Maan: Hi, Geet. (Putting his hand forward to shake her hand.) Nice to meet you!
Geet (still ignoring, smiles at Maan and looks at Meera): Meera, zara woh napkin pass karna?
Maan (to himslef): Ajeb hai, Maan Singh Khurana ko attitude dikha rahi hai! Dekhta hu kaise nahi baat karegi mujhse!
Meera (looking at Maan): Hey, why don't you guys join us. I'm sure Pinky bhi yehi soch rahi hogi. Kyun, Pinky?
Pinky: Haan, Meera, main yahi kehne wali thi. Adi, humare saath baito na?
Adi: Teek hai, Pinky. We will, hai na Maan?
Maan: Haan, kyun nahi.
Adi sits next to Pinky while Maan grabs a chair from another table and pulls it next to Geet. He sits down and smiles at Geet, who gives him a stern look and looks away from him.
Precap: Maan and Meera together?! 😲
