The actor does not want to be part of the 20-year leap

The much awaited 20-year leap on Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi has just got its first setback. Amit Sareen who plays the central character, Saahil, does not intend to continue with the show after its leap.

A source close to Sareen informs, "Amit does not want to play an old man and he has made his intentions clear to Ekta. However, Ekta wants everyone to be retained, especially Saahil as his track is the most prominent on the show right now. In fact, the story revolves around him and the build-up for the leap will start from his character. But Amit's decision has been accepted in good faith. The parting has been amicable.?BR>
With the leap just around the corner, and with Savita's (Apara Mehta) exit and now Amit decision to quit, wonder what Ekta has in store for the audience of one of her most popular shows.

It will be a loss to Kyunki, but I think he is feeling threatened because of the influx of several new characters who will steal the show more than just because of playing an older character.

Although the latest storyline revolves around him, he knows that after a while the focus will shift on newer characters and of course Tulsi. He probably made a right decision. You never know with Ekta, when she makes you stand in the background, or when she makes you the central character!

Hope tulsi doesn't give him mukti tooo.... actually ganga will do the mukti job this time since Sahil kind of betrayed her..
