Don't you think Amey is overrated

i've always thought the opposite, karunya is wayyyy overrated and amey is the better singer, performer, looker, etc.

He has perofrmed openly only few times...that to for the kind of songs that he chooses ,very little scope for performance

Singinging wise ,amey sings diiferent kind of songs than karunya

So we can't compare .....

Karunya is good at fast ,high songs...amey is opposite

Karunya never got a single bad remarks for his singing at the entire show and always praised whole-heartedly by all the judges. It is exceptional. Though Amey also was praised most of the times but he also got some rude remarks sometimes.

both are exceptionally well!
but amey was eliminated very early and that is what was not exceptable to all! he deserved top 2 position!

I think Karunya is a better singer. But, I like AMey too.
Amey is better looking, but when it comes to singing Karunya is better than anyone in II2.

Amey fits the full package. Wish he was in the competition 😭

its like comparing gold and diamonds. What yould you choose sir proud indian? Amey was the one singer in the galas who showed his versatility by singing songs sung by various singers. Karunya stuck to the sukhvinfer formula wit hte exception of the last 2 galas. Hes good at what he does and is clever.

Amey was an honest singer, but definitely did not deserve to get rated below anuj, whose deadpan expressions and performances leave a sour taste. However, I was pretty impressed with his efforts in the last gala, and thought he deserved much more praise from the judges. So did Sandeep.
Sonu now has been showing his partiality towards Karunya for way too long now. Its high time he realised that hes a judge and not there to support one contestant throughout. If so, he should just recede into the public and show his support by voting. Not on the judges chair.
Same applies to Anu malik as well. Farah tries her best to be neutral, in spite of which she comes in for some flak.
Sonu, however puts down the other two even before they perform. Irrespective of their performance, he seems to reserve his praise only for karunya. Agreed he is the better singer, but being a judge, does not mean ytou extend unabashed support to one contestant. Or if you do want to, do it offscreen!

I so do sincerely hope that Sandeep wins Indian Idol. 2 reasons. 1. I want to see the look on Sonu and Anu's faces. 2. They might get in more neutral, less eccentric judges(not himesh!). Someone like a hariharan, or an AR Rahman would be wonderful.

No contestant has been praised whole-heartedly by the judges. Karu received poor comments for his Chak De and Hum Tum (in the results episode) from the judges. Amey received poor comments for his RDB (in the results episode) and for his Mahi Ve performance. So I guess both contestants have heard their fair share of criticism from the judges. The Sify site has videos of older episodes if you want to verify this. 😊
