Aamir accepts a Sallu-Saif reject

Aamir Khan's script sense has always been lauded, applauded and proven. But here comes an interesting bit of information.
Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti reportedly took their script (the one which Aamir has green-lighted) to Salman Khan first. He turned it down. Well, these two women then went to Saif say rumours. He too rejected it. And guess what? When they went to Aamir, the biggest Khan, he not only accepted it, he also saw immense box office potential in this project.
Obviously Aamir's understanding of films is better than that of Salman and Saif because he has a better track record in the last 22 years than the two other Khans. Now, Salman and Saif must surely be wondering if they forgot to read between the lines. Honestly, how else can they explain their turning down a script that none other than Aamir has accepted?
