WA, but Facebook itself is an 'open' site. Even if you do not accept random/unknown friends, and do not leave your profile open to the public, friends from your list can still 'peek' into your wall and read your status, see the latest happenings, and you may not be comfortable with each and every friend from your list doing that. I don't think there is any form of privacy in FB, it's all open and public. This is one reaosn why I do not like posting in FB much.

I don't know why people do that, but then, I am sure many won't be able to fathom why I don't even post personal statuses in FB. Guess different strokes for different folks. But I agree, I find it to difficult to connect with such people who are so fearlessly open.

Btw, how many people even care for your (someone's) profile. Even if I keep my profile open, how many will stalk me from the behind? In fact it is the more reserved people who gets stalked more.

Because the forums is more of a discussion site than a social networking site, of course!! What a question!

It makes him an extroverted person in my head. 😃

Nah, IF is becoming more and more of a social networking site than a discussion forum. 😆

Labib, you're weird. 😆 Facebook is not a personal diary, a private blog, or meant to be used for personal thoughts. The whole point is that it IS a social networking site. However, most of us only befriend people we know. Our information is visible to them and open to them - why else would you have a FB account if you would not want your friends from around the world to keep tabs on you? By accepting friend requests, you are giving them the right to "peek" into your profile and everything it entails. That is the whole point here! The debate we were having earlier was what is the purpose of allowing strangers to see that information as well - people that you don't know and people that you haven't talked to before.

I am not a facebook addict like others I know, so my activity isn't anything to rave about anyways. I like FB because it allows me to stay in touch with people from around the world, people I don't see anymore, and people that I actually like. 😆

Oh, hon, you'd be surprised! You see a cute guy/girl walking around campus and the first thing you want to know is their name so you can look them up on FB. If FB had a system where you could keep track of who's been visiting your profile, all hell would break loose. 😆

But serisouly, IF was never even looked upon as that! Although I do agree it is getting more open, with people posting their photos. That's really unconcerned of them... doesn;t make them wh**es though. 😛

Really, when I find out someone's name I think about looking them up on Wisconsin Circuit Court to see what the juice is on in their life. It lists everything from speeding/parking tickets to civil suits/divorce settlements. Although the more fun thing to do is look up professors and academic staff up on FB and see if they have any incriminating pictures. 😆

Speaking of FB and appeal of men, one of the most beautiful things is to see men and their children/pets. Even the toughest of them get so soft when they are with their kids or cuddly puppies. One of my former coworkers posts a lot of pictures of him and his baby girls on FB, its just a side of him none of us new - its really very sweet.

Now thats a man though - at least for me.

That being said I stumbled upon this image - its kind of a lot of contrasts together but beautiful - a monk, all tattooed up - cuddling a tiger.

^^

IF was censoring that IMG thinking it was something else. 😆
