^^ They are keeping Naku's character intact. Naku would never embarass and tarnish Dutta's reputation through her own words. She wasn't going to get up and give him a lecture over why he slapped her, like typical heroines. She was saving him from further embarassment in saying those things, because she loves him and cannot see him being demeaned. Like I said, I don't feel at all she was justifying the slap and giving people the idea that it is alright to slap your wives! x

Another aspect of what they showed abt Dutta's slap or earlier bad behavior-Dutta like countless men in India and all over the world thought he would rule over his woman by sheer force. Atleast that was his intention during marriage no. 1. But the same man goes on to genuinely regret his action.
Like Naku women are mistreated by their husbands/in-laws. One aspect is the woman herself standing up for her rights. That certainly reduces atrocities on women out of fear(of the law mainly). But doesnt bring about a change in mentality or thinking. Its only when one's mentality/thinking changes will there be a true change in soceity and laws wouldnt be needed. LTL has shown the man here regretting his actions. I think thats a great message CVs are giving.

@ Shreya ...Right it is indeed a very good message....like they showed Dutta apologising Naku in private they could have also showed Dutta being angry to her in private, he had every right to be mad at her...
but in private
@ Piyari....Naku is indeed keeping her character intact, my problem is I could have accepted this 'haq jatana' if the whole thing happened in private between two of them....I am raising my voice against the scene not the characters as such....

@Tin: Looks like we do not agree on the scene. To me raising a hand on your wife whether in public or private is equally bad. So nothing would make it better. So lets agree to disagree. 😊
