''Hello?'' Gauri coughed as I continued staring at the direction Arohi just went to.
I shook my head.
''Arjun.'' Someone kept his hands on my shoulder and I turned around to face Rajbir.
''Rajbir.'' I grinned. He gave me a awkward one-arm embrace, as if contemplating whether he should give me more, or not.
''How are you?''
''Good, thanks.'' My mind was still swirming with Arohi's memories, the tears on her face. ''Can I.. err-'' I hesitated. ''-talk to you two?''
''You already are talking.'' Gauri snorted. Rajbir passed her a look.
''In private.'' I pressed, pointing toward the room. ''Please.'' I pleaded.
Gauri and Raj exchanged a look. After a second, Rajbir nodded. ''Okay.''
I followed them to the room and Gauri locked the hatch.
I hurried on before they could change their mind. ''Im sorry sorry sorry sorry. I know I've done a lot of bad things, and nothing to deserve a apology. But I am sorry from the bottom of my heart for whatever I've done.''
Gauri looked at me with wide eyes, and Rajbir seemed to study me. I could feel their heavy gaze on me. I tried to focus, to look in their eye, but my mind was elsewhere.
''You're saying sorry to the wrong people.'' Rajbir said.
''I know. And I want to say sorry to her.. But-'' But what?
''No way.'' Gauri stood up. Rajbir tried to silence her but she shushed him. ''You don't see, do you? He wants to talk to Arohi, and wants to use us to talk to Arohi.'' She shook her head in disgust. ''NO WAY. There's no way you're talking to her, even going near her. If you do, I promise Im breaking your head.''
''But..''
''No buts.'' She hurried on. ''Cant you see how much damage you've caused already. Or you can see, but you don't care to notice. -''
Rajbir started to say something, but Gauri raised her hand. ''She has suffered enough because of him, Rajbir. Im her friend. And I can't let him ruin her life. And you-'' She looked at me. ''Who do you think you are, huh? You think she's still crying for you, dying for you, wanting to be with you. Im sorry buddy, but you're wrong. She has suffered, but she's over you. She has moved on. I don't want you to go back to her life, ruin everything, and leave her to move on all over again.''
''I would never do that.'' I pleaded. ''I just want to talk to her.''
''And say what?'' Gauri pressed. ''Do you wanna say you're sorry? Right. Obviously you want more, don't you? You'd rather trap her in your false promises once again, lure her, use her, and then break her heart again. Is there any proof, any guarantee that you want nothing but a apology? And what if only the apology breaks her heart again?''
''Gauri, I want you to trust me.''
''And I can not trust you.'' She shook her head. ''Im sorry Arjun, but you need to understand. I can not risk Arohi again.'' She looked at Rajbir, nodded and left.
I looked at Rajbir. He was deep in thought. ''Please Raj, I just need to talk to her. Once.''
He raised a hand to stop me. ''I agree with Gauri. I can't risk Arohi again, either. There's only one way you can talk to Arohi, and that is.. if she wants to talk to you.''

This part was a small building on to Arohi and Arjun's conversation. That part will be long. ;]
