I don't like it either but I do like that the CVs addressed what Archana endured with Savita. I like that Manav is ready to endure anything for Archana and would rather face insults instead of losing her again, shows how much they love each other.

Let Manav experience 0.001% of humiliation that Archana had to face at his house through Savita. Archana is so concerned about Manav's self-respect but Manav never showed same concern, like Archana's self-respect doesn't matter or a DIL is expected to get humiliation.
