Bollywood dominated by only star kids and models!

Previously we had actors like shah rukh, akshay, madhuri, shilpa, sridevi with no film or modelling background joining the industry. of course they had to slog but then they did carve a niche for themselves. these days most of the actors are eithe star kids or Miss worlds or from the modelling background. My question is, is it that difficult for someone with a non filmy background to join the film industry? Or is it just people not interested anymore in pursuing a career in films and are just more happy to be an engineer or mba?

mmmmm... star kids get access to everythn in Bollywood easily ....u know the plot is readily available to em .. so y work hard / waste time in being an MBA or Engineer .!!🤔.

.attend sum acting classes abroad n bcum hero or heroine if not director or producer at least finance to always available hain !!!😛 😆

i've noticed that the tv industry is filled with the actors with talent and non-filmy backgrounds whereas bollywood is basically for beauty queens and for those of filmy backgrounds....now of course the bollywood actors have to work hard but some of them get more chances than those who do not belong in these backgrounds. When most newcomers who have no filmy backgrounds have 1 or 2 movie flops, they are officially out but i think the tv industry is much nicer of who they let in (but then those actors are given 20 hour workdays)😔

i can't compare to other movie industries except for hollywood, but bollywood seems to accept beauty queens much more readily and place more stock in them than their counterparts (nothing wrong with that but its just an observation)

i find that this nepotism also takes away from the credibility of some bollywood movies because you can tell that the acting is subpar or that the young actor/actress is learning rather than actually emoting the depths of their characters😊

Starkids have it easy but what about the others! Rarely are people from non filmy backgrounds joinng films these days compared to before. It looks the newer generation have lost the craze of becoming actors compared to older generation! Everyone wanted to join films before lol
