Jay shares what women mean to him

Jay Bhansuhali

People say that life is incomplete without a woman and for me this saying has proved true. My life is surrounded by three very special ladies who made me stronger.

I am not that emotional and sometimes when you try to express yourself people think that you are overacting.

All of us are very attached to our mothers, some of us can't convey our feelings to her while others can. As soon as I finished my school, I made sure that I should not depend on anyone else for money. I was searching for a job and often refused to take any money from my parents. I started doing modeling but my earning was quite less. My mother would insist me that I take cash from her but I never listened.

Yet, whenever I went out I'd find a 100 rupee note either in my bag, wallet or in my pocket. I knew that my mother had put it there for she was worried about the kind of food I was having and with my lifestyle. I think all woman have this inborn quality of caring and we men should respect it.

My mother has always supported me, and when I return from work and see her smiling, I feel very satisfied. I feel that my day is made with her smile, my all stress and tiredness gets washed away.

The second woman who literally pushed me on the right path is my sister Hetal. She is the one who insisted that I should try my luck in modelling. Thanks to her I am an actor today. She was always there for me when I was under pressure and would tell me that she will try her best to help me in any situation and she actually stood by it. She is my guide and support. If it wasn't fior her I would never get into this field and would have been doing some ordinary 9-5 job somewhere.

The third most important lady in my life is my fiance Mahhi. I used to be a chilled out guy who hardly believed in relationships. But when she came in my life I realised that she is the one whom I always wanted. Her one quality which fascinated me the most is that she values family a lot and that means a lot to me because I stay in a joint family. Mahhi never put any kind of restrictions on me and that really appealed to me. I value her suggestions and feedback. I have learnt that it's nice to be important but it is more important to be nice.

These three women are an integral part of my life. They have done so much for me, unconditionally.

Will Jay and Ayushmaan host Jhalak?

By KhushbuThakkar 3 Nov 2010 - 18:38

Jay Bhanushali and Ayushmaan Khurana

TellyChakkar had earlier reported about Tejaswi Prasad and Kiran Kumar being approached to participate in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 4 and also about Shahid Kapoor judging the show with Remo D'souza and Madhuri Dixit in all probability.

Now we hear that Jay Bhanushali, who had been one of the finalists of Jhalak Season 2, was approached to host the new season. Also, the charismatic MTV host Ayushmaan Khurana who last hosted India's Got Talent Khoj 2 has also been approached to be a part of Jhalak.

Says a source, "We have approached Jay to host the show. We also wanted Ayushmaan to host the show, as both of them can host it with Mona Singh. Mona has verbally committed to host it as of now but she is out of town and hasn't signed the contract. Ayushmaan seems keen to host the show if his schedules permit him."

Another source adds, "Jay has also been approached to host the Dance India Dance Doubles. So he is still indecisive about hosting Jhalak' He seems to be considering DID for the time being and he might even opt for Jhalak as this time it's going to be a grand affair."

Jay refused to comment on this while Ayushmaan sounded upbeat. "I am interested to host the show but as I am already hosting two shows on MTV, have no idea if I can manage with my dates."

We also hear that Yana Gupta, Mahi Vij and Anushka Manchandani are also being considered to participate in the show with others like Navjot Singh Sidhu, Krushna Abhishek, Ankita Lokhande, Sushant Singh Rajput, Neena Gupta, Jwala Gutta, Mishal Raheja, Rahul Dravid, Saurav Ganguly and Jennifer Winget.

Mahhi, Jay to wed in March

The cute Mahhi Vij, who plays Nakusha in Laagi Tujh Se Lagan, may refuse to speak about her relationship in real life with Jay Bhanushali, but we hear that the couple is all set to tie the knot.

They have decided to get married in March 2011. Recently, we saw them shopping in Bandra and no, it didn't seem like a wedding shopping, but they looked very happy and comfortable with each other. Why then do they insist on keeping their affair under wraps? Even their engagement was a top secret! Anyway, let's hope they don't do the same with their marriage.

Meanwhile, the planning has already started. Mahhi has asked her producers for a long leave around her wedding. Well, her chutti can't be too long considering she is the main lead in her show. But then, for the bride's sake, we hope she gets at least a good number of days for her to bask in her newly-wed status.

Jay Bhanushali admires Salman''s style, Aamir''s professionalism

Friday, December 03, 2010 | 3:59:45 PM IST (+05:30 GMT) 1 Comments

New Delhi, Dec 3 Television actor Jay Bhanushali admires Bollywood star Salman Khan for his style of anchoring and follows Aamir Khan''s when it comes to taking up new assignments.

New Delhi, Dec 3 (IANS) Television actor Jay Bhanushali admires Bollywood star Salman Khan for his style of anchoring and follows Aamir Khan's when it comes to taking up new assignments.

'I am a big fan of Salman bhai. He's the one whom I look up to for inspiration. He's great. What I really like about him is that when he's hosting a show, he's just like a common man. He does everything like a common man and this what connects him to the audiences,' Jay told IANS.

Salman is currently hosting the fourth season of reality show 'Bigg Boss'.

'I also try incorporate that aspect in my anchoring. I like his casual attitude. Moreover, when I started my career, I wanted to be like Salman Khan,' said Jay who will be seen as a host of 'Dance India Dance Doubles'. He was here for the auditions of the Zee TV's upcoming reality show.

The actor made his television debut with Ekta Kapoor's 'Kayamath' and later participated in the reality show 'Jhalak Dikhala Ja'. He has hosted two seasons of 'Dance India Dance'.

Jay recently played a small part in Star One's show 'Geet....Hui Sab Se Parayi' and hosted Imagine TV's 'Meethi Choori No.1'.

The 26-year-old actor admits he is very choosy about his work and tries to follow Aamir's work ethics.

'I like what Aamir Khan does. I wouldn't take up any show for the sake of just appearing on TV. I am very choosy about my work. I don't want my fans to get bored of me. I always see to it that if I am coming with something it should be different,' he said.

'Rather than being a part of a flop show, I would prefer to stay away from the small screen for some time. The tag of a flop show hurts a lot. I have reached where I am today after a lot of struggle and hard work. I have miles to go with the same struggle and passion towards work,' he added.

It is often seen that the lead actors of any particular show fade out once their show ends. Actors like Smriti Z. Irani, Cezanne Khan and Sakshi Tanwar are some of the examples.

But Jay disagrees.

'It depends. It is true that when you are constantly seen on television, you get over-exposed. But its up to you how to maintain your image and keep succeeding. Actors like Ronit Roy are still very active on small screen,' he said.
