first of all i think ranjeet excels, at what I believe, to be the toughest genre of music..."ghazals"...

believe me when I say that its much easier to sing all those bolly peppy numbers and get the crowd raving to the music than to sing a calm and soulful ghazal and still get the audience on their feet... if truly there is one person besides kamal khan who deserves to win just on the criteria of sheer talent...it has got to be ranjeet

only a gifted individual like him can pull off such difficult songs with such finesse and charisma....he proved it to everyone when he sang bijuria... he proved that he can not only sing but even excel at light groovy hindi numbers

i mean according to me....ghazal is like the song that only a maestro can attempt and pull off

actually having a ghazal or classical round would be nice...that way we would be able to see how well the other contestants can sing songs in that genre...because right now....its a very difficult decision as to who deserves to win....because we cant compare the contestants if they are singing such different songs

PS....did anyone else notice deepika comment during ranjeet's rendition of kabhi kabhi aditi?? she actually said "ITS VERY THANDA" in the middle of the song....i mean i cant imagine anyone dancing or maroing thumkas to such a song....for crying out loud he sang aditi and not munni badnaam....maybe deepika
expected ranjeet to sing the jazz or rock version of that song haha

well it would be rally biased to state that ranjeet is the only singer in this contest etc...i mean they all are no doubt awesome...thats why they are where they are....all the stalwarts of the industry are like all praises so there must be a good reason

but my only concern is that its not actually turning out to be a good contest given that everyone is singing such different songs...imagine how can you compare rolling stones with lets say megadeth....it would be impossible....try and compare led zeplin with slayer...impossible again

or compare a nana patkar with hrithik roshan....i mean they are both exceptional actors and everything...but they are good at their own fields....they wouldn't be as good if they had to play each other's roles...cant really compare atall....so if atall we have to decide who is better...we must judge them on the same uniform field

i dont even know why i am breaking my head over this show haha

oh and one more thing....does anyone else think that ranjeet might actually have CYSTIC FIBROSIS?? I have CF myself and seems to me like it is a possibility....i mean his breathing patterns and how he is always hunched
over etc....i am yet to mark his fingernails that minutely though to see if he has any clubbing....just occurred to me sorry
