Have been following Hindi shows for less than 2 yrs now ( I belong to the good old Doordarshan era)... and what you mention used to be the case apparently. But now it looks like there has been some change in the kind of stories that are being told... so I have hopes that things won't be so bad.

A protagonist who is not exactly wonderful, who has flaws, is fine by me... it just needs intelligent treatment.
