Well, Friends I almost found myself scraping the barrel...just. Off course every story has a highs and lows, natural dips in the story telling so I suspect we are seeing the lull now in GKD...to give us time to recover from the high octane scenes of last week. I only hope that they do not stretch this kitchen saga to the whole week of real time...!😃😃

Well it was nice to see Arpita given her dues. I thought Bhootni would refuse or delay as much as possible to stop Arpita taking up her rightful place in the TH (Thakur Haveli)......Avdesh walked in during puja, Arpita too looked up...like two magnets of opposing power their eyes locked and held...everyone else was gone, just the two of them lost in each other. They haven't forgotten their words of the night before but their love will always be the foremost in their hearts and minds. Avdesh's face softens slightly as he looked his fill at his wife. He joined her, as her husband, and participated fully to ensure Arpita was given all honours in his home.
I adored the panditji for referring to Arpita as Avdesh's 'daram patni' constantly, Bhootni's face took on green hue at these words, mouth twisted bitterly. I only hope the force of her stare does not leave a malignant mark on their jodi.. As he left, their gaze once again meshed and lingered...only to have bhootni's large head come inbetween - severing the contact, for the moment. Arpita was led around to the storage room for more blessings.....It seem's no chance is taken for this ritual.
...afterwards, Arpita was given shagun by Avdesh...she was so touched, her face glowing as she gave her own respect back...once again, Bhootni lingered right behind, fuming and bubbling away....Arpita was told to cook food within two hours....Avdesh was visibly shocked and leapt to his wife's help...only for bhootni to tell him this is needed and put Arpita on the spot.

Arpita took up the challenge to preseve her husband's izzat and Avdesh with more looks left with the pandits and Bhootni..though worried and indecisive, she tucked her sari in and got on with the job.....Bhootni sat and made plans to show Avdesh his bride's true uselessnes...she is clearly fuming over last night, when she spied upon the two having a husband and wife conversation, though I can't figure out if she heard Arpita's vow to change her husband and bring him back on the right path....
Precap: Bhootni's minion adding smething, salt?, to the kheer in a bid to make Arpita look useless and ineffectual in the kitchen......the new promo showed Bhootni stopping Avdesh going out so he can eat his wife's cooking....all her plan to humiliate Arpita.
My thoughts:
This was an episode that took off in a slightly different direction from what we have been seeing so far, the revenge mode. Off course Bhootni is not going to hand over everything to Arpita nor make her welcome without the trial by fire....most importantly she wants to show Avdesh that his wife is useless in the kitchen and at running a home. Hmm, I don't think Avdesh really care's about all this, he knows she is young (hence his protest about the cooking)....and we know that Arpita will win....😉😊
This is a power play. I hope they move onto something else soon....and not just concentrate on the kitchen politics. I really would love to see Arpita doing things to fulfill her vow of being a wife to Avdesh, this is a starting point but there are so many other things that she can do as well. As for Bhootni, well she planned on doing mayhem between Avita...but if this is her way, maybe she should concentrate on murder....at least in that respect we know Avdesh will come running to rescue his ladylove..repeatedly.😃😃😉😆
