Since I am on Scenes and FFs catching up spree, using the opportunity of being laid up in bed for 2 days with cold and flu,😉😃 I read the last two parts of your FF ….So sorry for the delay in reading them…

Loved Abhi's retrospection and understanding of Nikki's feelings and his blunder….And the part where he screams her name and she waking up with hiccups is so well done, brought tears to my eyes….. Also was deeply moved with the 3^rd part…. Nikki struggling to start life afresh without Abhi and Abhi determined to get his life back, she being his life ….Truly beautiful…👏👏👏.Hope he finds her soon…can't bear for them to be away from each other too long… can still handle them giving stress to each other when they are nearer… Awww.. Abhi is such a stupid, stubborn lovable idiot! Guards that jewellery piece of hers but cannot keep her glued to him ! 😉

~*~ Part 4 ~*~

She felt pleasant as she entered and greeted the staff in the government hospital she had started working in. The place was small but she felt much better there. She had been dreaming about working in such places since she was small, infact she had decided to become doctor just to help in remote villages and towns like these. Her favourite teacher Ms. Atre was big influence on her life. Her school had great teacher but she had very high respect for Ms. Atre. She always told them, if you use whatever you know for people who need it the most, you would receive double award. It will make you and happy and content with the life and the satisfaction that it would give you cannot be achieved anywhere else. As a child she was bright student but when her teacher told her something like this, she always felt confused. She always wondered how would she know what would be the most use of her talent, how would she know her potential. She didn't have grandparents or parents around to teach her all this unlike her other friends. So she had always paid greater attention to stories her teachers told to keep herself on right path. She didn't want to waste her life just because her parents didn't care about her.

Well when she had come to the boarding school she always felt low and depressed. All she could think was how her parents fought with each other and then without thinking about her just separated. She craved for attention, love. But the boarding school was good, all her teachers cared for their student and their future. She started making friends or you can say she had that knack in her where she can be friends with anyone. All her classmates loved her and she cared for them. As days passed she had mingled in the boarding school and she felt like at home she never had. The school always got highly looked for personalities once in a while to talk to students. It was when she was in 6^th standard that she had met Dr Pandit. Till he gave the lecture she had never thought doctors as rarity for anyone. But his lecture had brought a different perspective to her life. He had told stories of remote villages, towns where there aren't all these facilities she had seen till now. The stories were touching and had influenced her big time. By the time she got in 10^th standard she had made up her mind to learn medicine. But unlike her friends she had motive behind it. She wanted to go in some remote village and make a difference.

Learning medicine wasn't difficult given her aptitude. It was during this time that she had met Armaan. He was so much like her. They both had instantly become friends. She was in her sweet teens then and she didn't realize when she started thinking about him as more than friend. But Armaan had always been play boy. she didn't think she can tell him about her feelings. The only way out there she could think was run from there. She took transfer and disappeared from there. It was her luck or some good deeds or what she had landed in Pune under same Dr. Pandit who had stimulated her little brain in this direction. Learning from him, seeing his attitude towards life had motivated and firmed her wish to work in some village. It was Dr. Pandit who had recommended her to sanjeevani for her internship. He had told her that it would be best place to get the experience as the hospital is big, it does work for poor people, holds lot of medical camp in remote places. It would be ideal for her to see the life and take decisions for future.

The life in sanjeevani was completely different from what she had thought of. Armaan had come infront of her. She had shut her feeling in last 4 years but they came running and this time she had to face it really hard. It was ridhima the girl who she liked the first day of her internship, was whom Armaan was in love with. She tried to face her feelings, she tried if she can come over them but it was hard. That's when she had decided to quit from sanjeevani. But destiny was something else. Abhimanyu had come in her life and life had changed. She didn't realize it then, but she was slowly changing. She infact didn't realize when and how she started liking him, probably in paligaon. But when that liking turned into love she doesn't know even today. He was caring and loving but he didn't give her time to come to terms with her feelings. Armaan and his fight made it even more difficult to take any decision. But as she came to terms with it, it was too late. He had shut himself and wasn't ready to forgive her. When things had gone beyond tolerance, she had decided to call it quit and that's when she had talked with Dr. Pandit. He had reminded her wish to work in remote town and had helped her get in here.

The first few days had been difficult especially when she thought about abhimanyu. But as time passed, she saw how she was actually helping these poor woman, children, elders and sick people that otherwise would need to go 30 miles just to get basic checkup done. The facility was small and she was working with Dr. Goswami, another personality she felt influenced and inspired by. There were other two doctors Dr Anand and Dr Sujata a married couple with a two year daughter. They had welcomed her like their own sister and helped her setup in this place. She had rented a small bungalow close to the highway and discovered a valley spot from where sunrise looked amazing. It was her routine to jog around there, see sunrise and then return home for breakfast. Each morning felt brighter and new and all her worries and tensions seemed lost in somewhere. The town was small and now she had started knowing almost everyone there. They treated her with special respect for she was the surgeon they never had. She had saved lot many lives esp pregnant ladies, injured children. People liked her smiling face, friendly attitude and care she showed towards everyone. She too felt cosy in there.

Now as she walked in her office, doctor goswami came by to greet her. He treated her like his daughter and she reciprocated those emotions. He informed her that they would need to go to Vadgaaon the village 100 km west from there as there is epidemic running there and not enough doctors around there to take care. They would need to leave next day and she can go home early as they would need to leave early in the morning tomorrow. It was first time she was going to go out of this place and she was little worried. She didn't know if all the peace that she feels right now doesn't go away as she goes away. She wiped all these crazy thoughts and got to her regular duties. Ofcourse she was going to go home early and take good rest. She was doctor now she always wanted to be. She felt content and shouldn't worry about something that cant be helped. As patients grabbed her attention she forgot about today morning's restlessness and the chain of thought it had given into.

While getting down from the car he saw a page from Dr Shashank. He was so lost in thoughts that he had not seen it until now. He called the person and told to postpone their meet as he has to go somewhere urgently. As he ran into Dr. Shashank's office, he wondered what it might be. But he didn't have to guess for too long as Dr. Shashank told him that they need two doctors in Vadgaon with all the medicines and vaccines as there is epidemic in there. He told him that though government doctors might come there they aren't sure if they would have all these medicine stock so probably they should help even though he knows that they are low on the budget. He assured him that they can manage this and today itself he and Dr. Atul would go as others might be busy and distracted with Ridhima and armaan's wedding. They discussed all the procedures and responsibilities and he paged Atul to inform about it. As he went home and prepared his luggage ready for the travel, he wondered if he can call the person and talk on phone itself about Niki. But the ring on his doorbell meant it was atul outside waiting for him and it wouldn't be appropriate to talk about Niki right now. He decided to do it once he is back. He quickly grabbed the earing and the box and put it in his suitcase and left for vadgaoon
