Sameer Soni eviction from Big Boss causes outrage, but the decision is right

By Frontier India | November 18th, 2010 | Category: Television | 12 comments

The decision to evict Sameer Soni from Big Boss has caused an outrage by the Big Boss 4 fans. It is true that Sameer Soni was quite dignified and very calm and gentle till the fight with Dolly Bindra. But, contrary to popular perception, Sameer Soni was waiting to explode.

Sameer Soni had been bottling up. The signs of cracking and negative thinking was revealed when he was in the confession box. Sameer had talked about Dolly Bindra. He had already made up his mind that he would be in conflict with Dolly one day. He also said that Dolly cannot get physical and can just verbally fight. So, he had already made up this scenario in his mind. Looks like he had made a winning scenario in his head "stand up against dolly and she will retreat." He had no plans for the Dolly crossing the border scenario.

As they say, if you think negatively, the result is negative. After he verbally spelt out his thoughts, his brain acted on it. Its pure psychology. He led himself to the destructive fight.

First of all, if Dolly had gone physical with Shweta Tiwari, Big Boss would have anyway taken her out. Its in the contract. All captain had to do was complain against the clause. Sameer did not see that. When ladies fought, The Great Khali did not intervene. But, when Sameer was provocative, The Great Khali pushed him out as this was a man vs women fight.

Secondly, Sameer Soni could have diffused the situation. he could have taken Shweta out of the fight. Big Boss would have dealt with Dolly.

Veena Malik's stand is correct. Sameer provoked Dolly.

A lot of us have been debating that what about dolly's provocation? That's right. Dolly's continuous tirades had everyone on edge.

This was not Sameers fight. Dolly had not conflicted him yet. Infact, it was Sameer, who supported Ashmit Patel against Dolly.

Ashmit Patel ain't wrong too. He told Sameer that it was "Sameers decision to support him that time." Ashmit had diffused the situation on his own.

The Great Khali and the rest of the housemates except Shweta are right too. Why should Dolly drag the entire house down? It best to hive off Sameer with Dolly. Shweta is outstanding, she has backed up the man who backed her.

Sameer was an unnecessary hero. Sameer could have been a bigger hero, if he would have diffused the situation and then appealed against Dolly, who was on her way out because of physical violence with Shweta.

As Manoj Tiwari says "Sameer will come back as a hero, Big Boss will bring him back." We hope a more positive minded Sameer Soni is brought back.

Its only a coward nature of not intervening in the matter and taking the side of right person. If this would have been followed by our great leaders, we would never have been freed from British raaj. But today people dont appreciate good deeds, and infact blame the right person for wrong reasons. Please if you cant stand for a right person atleast dont blame them. Have that much of dignity and keep mum.

What a BS article man!😳

Seems it's from a Veena Malik fan😳

So all the housemates are supposed to be kept quiet and calm even after physical violence from one contestant? Why dont they bring Monks and Nuns and fathers and sages from all religions then😳 What the eff?😳

Sameer did the right thing.. BB is a double-standard hypocrite.. BB needs to die with its @$$ sissy voice.. IT never warned Dolly even for once in last 4 weeks.. For provoking, instigating and what not.. And now that Sam did, it came to show its pathetic judgment..

There should be NO Big Boss Season 5 👎🏼

this article is pure bullsh*t for the following reasons:

1. the writer has assumed that veena malik was genuinely criticizing sameer for his actions, which is far from the truth. it is a well known fact that veena has nominated sameer for eviction on several occasions in the past, so how can a viewer just believe that veena malik had no ulterior motive for wanting sameer to leave along with dolly? to say that veena was right merely on the basis of what she said last night speaks volumes about this writer's understanding of human psychology.

2. the writer has also said that sameer provoked dolly when the fight was only between shweta and dolly, but he conveniently overlooks the fact that according to the bigg boss (and big brother) format, the no. 1 clause all housemates have to follow is to avoid physical violence at any cost. there was absolutely no sign whatsoever that the show was even inclined to throw dolly out on this basis, and sameer had the right to stand up to this nuisance.

3. sameer was not rowdy in the least bit. the dolly-ashmit fight, on the other hand, was crassness personified. bigg boss didn't give a shoddy damn when dolly was using words like 'ga*nd mein thos dungi' and the mc/bc words. dolly keeps instigating others to hit her by saying 'agar dum hain toh haath uthao, mardangi dikhao', etc etc. so really, who is the one doing all the instigating here? sameer or dolly?

dolly has been having a heyday ever since the time she has come. she unnecessarily provokes everyone, right from shweta and poor aanchal to the likes of sara and seema, and yet, sameer on his part is being made to lick his wounds for doing what should have been done many, many days ago. if this isn't lunacy i don't know what is.

4. to say that sameer wanted to fight just because he'd spoken about dolly in the confession room is utterly laughable. he never said he'd go all out to fight with her, and he naturally spoke out against the show's light handedness towards dolly, who for some reason never seems to be getting any punishment. all this guy did was to stand up for a friend and keep blocking dolly's path childishly. i didn't see a foul word being uttered by him, nor did i see any inclination from sameer's side to get nasty.

ashmit and the others whole heartedly stood up for him in the beginning but turned their backs in a matter of hours. it's just an obvious tactic to eliminate a strong contender when they have the opportunity to do so. after all, if you can kill two birds with one stone, then why not grab the chance? moti bhains dolly would be thrown out, and sameer, a good player in the eyes of the public, would go too. this is a very rare, golden opportunity for the other inmates to grab the bull by the horns and increase their chances of winning.

that is what it was- they weren't arguing with sameer and turning against him for getting involved in the shweta-dolly fight- they were doing so to increase their chances of getting ahead in the game.

this reporter is a nincompoop if he doesn't understand the nature of the human psyche. he's just soaking in everything at face value and becoming some kind of spokesperson on neutrality.
