My Brave Gauri

i have just started watching this show and I am highly impressed with both the character of Gauri and the actress who portrays her. She is doing a great job!!! 👏 In every scene she is in character, for me as a viewer its very important that the actor portraying the character stays in sync with the character in a scene. This allows the viewer to connect to the character onscreen. For a newcomer to perform two powerful scenes today, the mirror one and the one infront of the "basti" and not lose her focus as an actress, the actress needs to be commended for a superb job!!! I was so engrossed in watching her onscreen, I felt like I was watching a real person. Also, I am glad whoever was responsible for making the decision of Gauri to react very differently and unlike other shows typical female protagonists-this is a small but a huge change on indian tv concerning the representation of the female heroine. I hope the change lasts and is not here for just one or two episodes. I like that even though Gauri is comes from a poor background, she is shown to have a talent, to be a working girl but most of all she is shown to have reason and logic, and not to forget her belief in God at the same time. I'd like to comment on how she handled the neighbors, she is a young female, who was disgustingly insulted infront of her neighbors but she managed to hold onto her dignity, her self respect, and she did all this with a lot of grace-for that I again commend the actress, there was nothing superficial or vain in her defense of Gauri. 👏 Also, her mother has taught her to fight and never quit!! Most of all, I loved the mother, daughter hug to culminate the scene. That was perfect end scene action for such a powerful performance. The mother, daughter hug was such symbolic embrace: Gauri runs to her mother after hitting her head, and hearing Nani's comments, Gauri is hurting and confused, runs to her mother, the mother takes her in her arms and comforts her---it was so perfect to end the scene with.

I am eagerly looking forward to the rest of the episodes this week.

Yeah, I agree with you! Whatever you said in the bold that is true but there is one more girl on Zee Tv who is really strong and don't let anyone point finger at anyone, if you know then she is Abha from Yahaan Main Ghar Ghar Kheli. I hope you will not mind. I was just telling you that these two girls are strong more than the other serials.
