That was very aptly described! To me the thing that stood out was when Rishabh was shouting at Bramhanand, I felt his emotions were connected to his handicap and the way his life has turned out to be today and somehow how Bramhanand is related to that turn of his fate!! Else, I cannot quite understand where all that hatred stems from!!

Also, Rishabh's respect for Devyani!! Yes, that was worth watching. It felt like a slap to Bramhanand's face. To me that was worth watching. I am sure a lot of anger stems from that irritation itself, which Bramhanand shows later to Devyani!

I agree, Devyani's need to hush and sush everything is the reason why she feels Uttara should be able to handle her family problems like her!

Also, I strongly felt the Aditya-Priya dance was a little off the flow!! I dont know if it was the song or the fact that he just started imagining off record!

Overall, the episode was enjoyable!! 😉

Yash...we agree...that's surprising...😲😆...just kidding! Rishabh's hatred of Bramhanand has to be related to something deep to generate so much of anger...based on what we have seen, the accident makes sense na?

Another interesting point I observed was how Uttara is sharing bits and pieces without hesitation to her loved ones. First she hinted at the abuse to Devyani. Then, after Aditya & Gaurav placed Rishabh in the car, she expresses how she has gotten used to this behavior of Rishabh or something of the sort. Unless she were either consciously or subconsciously ready to do something about it, she would not be peeling the layers. Its like she's waiting for something or someone to push her to take action.

ok, I really had to think back to differentiate between Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday's epi. The series thus far has been gripping. Maybe this promo explains one of the reason's why Rishab hates his BIL.

as usual loved reading it 🤗
first thing first, i loved the dream sequence altho the screenplay cud have been better but it was not forced, neither it gave me that sensual feeling of their chemistry yet it was digestable due to the actors' excellent efforts....
now, i don't want to hate rishabh right away...to me, i feel this guy has a huge burden on his heart, he used to be a very good hockey player, he lost his legs, which ultimately cost his profession....then he had to get a job by someone, who he HATES the most......he is mentally disturbed......yeah i don't agree with him beating his wife, but it's the mental torture is killing him inside.....when it becomes unbearable he transfers all his anger/hatred/torture/helplessness on his wife physically.......*I may be WRONG but this is wut i felt*......the reason behind my this thot is when devyani interfered, I saw n felt a genuin respect in rishabh's eyes and voice, respectively.......to me, he is another part of the mystery in the show.......loved his performance.....kudos to him.........
loved gaurav n adi's concerns for their maasi.......it's this kinda sweet gestures that tends to touch my heart n leave a smile on my face......

Thank you Rehana! The triggers that drive an abuser are so complex. What a dichotomy...Rishabh hurts one sis without any regret while the other makes him feel an once of it. I find that this series shows the opposing sides of the same coin...one brother running toward love while the other runs away from it. One sister hiding the reality of her life while the other is slowly revealing it...

most welcome 😃......yes this show indeed is revealing the two sides of the coin.......i feel this show is a good attempt to present how human carries two sides in them......the good n bad......some ppl's good side mostly takes over the bad and vice versa for others.......no one is as MAHAN as a God neither is he/she a DEVIL......it's just the circumstances that compel ppl to take instant actions, sometimes we manage to handle the situation in a mature way, sometimes we fail to do so........sometimes we deliberately make the wrong move to satisfy our thought.....
btw may i know ur name please?😳

I know its a day late, but here's my view on
Monday's episode. I would love to read yours too so feel free to disagree...or agree. 😆

*******************************************

Episode 16:

So this week started with Imli spiking Vidya's drink and all the ladies dancing unrestrained in total abandon under the influence of alcohol. While the men are dancing downstairs, Aditya decides to check out the women's party but ends up dreaming of Priya. Now...I realize this is a Hindi series and that for ratings to grow, a dance every so often between the lead pair is pretty much the norm. This reality of the television business made me overlook my misgivings about the fact that Aditya & Priya's relationship has not reached the point where a slow song dream makes sense. Even with that set aside, the dance, as shown, broke the rhythm of the sequence it was inserted in. Had Aditya started dancing with the women and imagined one of them as Priya, the screenplay would have had a far smoother flow. Granted, this is a done to death way of showing a lead character's imagination, but it would at least not have been a tempo buster!

Moving on then to what was the most interesting part of the episode'the conversation between Devyani & Gaurav. It not only directly hinted at issues between father & son, it also revealed a relationship dynamic between Devyani & Bramhanand. And'as predicted by Gaurav, Bramhanand blames Devyani for the spectacle created by Rishabh. Bramhanand's verbal abuse provided some basis for Devyani's reaction to what is happening in Uttara's life. Devyani manages her husband's abuse by running as perfect a home as possible and not letting anything affect that. Given this, it is not surprising that she thinks managing Rishabh's abuse is in Uttara's hands.

The episode closed with Aditya finding out that Priya lived in Ghaziabad.

What did not work for me was:
  • The screenplay for the dream sequence.
  • Still find that Ishq Hai does not fit in well. It was better than the previous times though!
  • Why did Aditya & Gaurav not jump in to drag Rishabh away as he started on his tirade?
What do you think about what you saw?

Cheers,
Jaya

heyy another nice topic from you! nice analysis. nice break from my studies! Maryada is piquing my interest a bit.

Well, about the first bolded line of yours, all I can say is: hahaha 🤣 welcome to the reality of indian tv :P

About the second bolded part, I am glad that he didn't imagine priya while dancing with someone else because that is sooo done and over with (not that the one which they actually have shown isn't too) .
Okay but the sequence wasn't too bad considering I was expecting worse. Atleast Priya stayed in-character for most of the time, except when they were playing hide and seek at the start of the sequence. But I liked the part where she's just sitting on the rock, all sad and a bit brooding.
The song 'Ishq Hai' makes me cringe and I have to mute it out, sadly. Its not that bad...there are portions where its okay too...

I missed the most imp part of Rishabh..so can't comment on that but the dynamics will be interesting to watch esp. when what they showed in the first promo comes up.

What I liked about Gaurav is that despite the fact that obviously is unhappy and bitter about his marriage, he still treats his wife and her brothers with care even if he is amused by them half the time.
