Ashutosh Gowariker, Abhishek Bachchan and Deepika Padukone talk about their upcoming filmKhelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey.

"I felt I needed to tell the story of the unsung heroes of the Chittagong Uprising so that people would know about them. The book, Do and Die, penned by Manini Chatterjee moved me enough to make such a film," said Ashutosh.

"It is any actor's dream to work with Ashutosh Gowariker and I loved the character of Soorjya Sen," said Abhishek Bachchan, adding, "The most difficult preparation for me was to shave off my stubble for the role. I feel quite naked without it. I love wearing a dhoti because it is very comfortable" Abhishek said that though the real Soorjya Sen was a scrawny person and he is not, it was fine because it was the story of the Chittagong Uprising and not a biopic on Soorjya Sen. He also said that there were no videos to watch and he only had photographs for reference. Ashutosh Gowariker's extensive research helped him a lot.

Deepika Padukone plays Kalpana Dutta in the film and it is a far-cry from a glamorous image. She said, "A role and the amount of hard work you put in is not dependent on the clothes and make-up you wear. Every role, be it in Love Aaj Kal or Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey, is equally difficult."
