It depends on what self-respect means to each person. The key word being self not what society's morals heaped upon you. If you can commit immoral actions and still be able to sleep at night and go about your way the next day, then who am I to judge? I wouldn't condone sleeping my way through the top, or being a sycophant to get my way; but that probably has more to do with my own personality than what societal morals tries to feed me. I would be able to be a sycophant, lose all dignity, sleep around to get what I wanted if my personality had the natural inclination towards those things.
What I do have a problem with when it comes to bollywood stars is not what they do but what they can't face. Its the superficiality and farce of it all that is really annoying. If they can commit "immoral" actions then they should be able to face it when the backlash comes. They do what is considered immoral things and yet act all goody two shoes in interviews. This is how it usually goes " oh no I've never had a boyfriend, I have never even smoked a cigarrette, forget drugs, I am a virgin. I am blessed to be surrounded by such honest people. I consider myself single until married. I believe in fairytale romances. I eat a lot of junk food, don't exercise yet I'm a twig. I don't believe in live-in relationships yet I have no problem going around screaming on top of my voice about my relationships. I struggled a lot, my hard work has brought me to this position, I don't belong to the industry, I am an outsider so I had to work extra hard. I have never cheated on my wife, I am a good husband. I am not gay, its not my fault if everyone thinks I am. All my designs are original, I don't copy from others....they're just jealous. I have not broken up with my bf, I will sue you for false news".....seriously....doesn't it get old????? What a load of bull crap!
