I hope he hasn't gone permanently. From the article on his intro ....he was here to unite Maan & Geet....sell his company to Maan....and in the end there was a twist in the story. If the twist was that Geet would end up working for Maan again....then Yash's track is over. If not then...it looks like he will return later on. For the moment they are concentrating on the 'India Paints Office Track'.
Several reasons for this could be because -
1. Abhinav Shukla is going on vacation....so the court track is not going to start for at least another month yet....So...they stuck this 'new office track' in between for time-pass and fan demands.
2. His first two purposes are done. He brought Maan & Geet back together.....and....he sold his company to Maan.
3. Twist may still be to come in the future.
4. Recent articles on Jay said he was going to host the next 'Dance India Dance' Reality Show on Zee again. From my recollection, he travels across India to various cities for the auditions to choose the participants. So....this may account for his hasty departure from the show.
5. Though...his scene with Meera may suggest that he will be back ....the cvs may have left the door open for a Yash/Meera track in the future. Another thing I remembered from his article was that they said his role might get extended if the viewers liked and accepted his character.
