Fardeen Khan with Alfie in the make-up van on Khan's film set |
While protective parents accompany most Bolly actresses on the sets, Fardeen Khan has settled for pooch Alfie's company. A Chinese Chow Chow, Alfie has been following his master to his work.
Says Khan, "Alfie have been accompanying me on and off on the sets. It's like a day out for him."
Recently, one-year-old Alfie threw a big tantrum on the sets of Inder Kumar's Pyare Mohan when Khan was surrounded by a bunch of television crews to record his sound byte.
Obviously the possessive pup didn't want others imposing on its time out with his master. But otherwise he is known to be a well-behaved dog and loved by everyone in the Khan family.
Gifted by friend
Khan received the furry pet as a gift from good friend Prashant, when he was just a month-old. Adds Khan's friend Shahid Aamir, "Alfie was specially flown from London. Fardeen is very fond of him. The way Alfie looks at you, you can't wait but cuddle him. It's a very well-behaved dog I must say."
So does he share his master's bed too? Says Aamir, "Not at all. Alphie's content with his own cot." Khan pampers his pooch by playing with it, taking it out for walks and even to a dog salon in Bandra.
Says Khan, "Alfie has recently got his summer cut. Usually, Chow Chows have a very thick coat. But then they can't bear with the heat and weather conditions here."
Chicken's its fav
Alfie gorges on boiled chicken. However, with the bird flu scare Khan has been serving it Pedigree dog food. Apart from wife Natasha, Alfie is the happiest when its master is back at home after a day's work.
But the sight of a cat annoys him and ends in a chasing spree. Adds Aamir, " After Fardeen got Alfie, stray cats of his locality have almost disappeared."
