For at least two weeks Maan has decided to stay at home with Geet and the baby. He woke up late in the morning, which was an unusual thing that had happened to him in years. Wiping off his eyes he rolled on the other side of the bed and found Geet was not there. She might have got up earlier, he thought before getting up. He got up from the bed and walked lazily into the bedroom to check on the baby, before heading to the washroom. He became astonished by seeing Geet sleeping on the couch there, thinking that she might have been up because of the baby; he went back to the washroom.

While in the shower, he wondered about how he would bring up the surprise to Geet. He has to plan everything very carefully this time and would not let out a single hint to her. He enjoyed the cold water running all over his body like that he never has experienced such excitement ever in his life. He has to be quick today as the baby's naming ceremony was also on its way. Wrapping a towel around his waist, he came out of the washroom, his hair still wet with water. With a dreamy look on his face he took the red rose he brought in last night and went to wake up his wife.

His feet become frozen when he saw how beautifully his wife was sleeping on the couch, with her hands under her cheek. Geet was looking alluring in the white transparent night gown and he could not take his eyes off her. He was spell bound by her angelic face, wanting to have her right at that moment and he did it with his eyes. Placing the red rose next to her, he stepped back reminding him to control his feelings. With the feeling of something cold on her cheeks, Geet opened her eyes and saw Maan standing there, staring at her. So, it must be a water droplet from his wet hair, she concluded and looked at her husband who looked fresh and appealing after the cold morning shower.

Ignoring Maan who stood in front of her, she headed to the washroom remembering what she heard and saw last night. Little did she know that her husband is still more clever, so he held on to her hand and stopped her 'good morning my beautiful lady' he whispered into her ears, getting closer to her. She stared at him angrily and said 'good morning Mr.Maan Singh Khurana', surprising him with her response. 'When did I become Mr.Maan Singh Khurana to you?' without knowing the reason behind the change in her behavior, he asked. 'From the very first moment you kept me aside from your personal matters' her words were like a slap on his face, as he was doing his level best to keep her happy. 'Geet, be frank and tell me what are you talking about' he grabbed her by shoulders, not seeing the pain in her eyes. 'Now don't act like that you don't know what I'm talking about, as I don't think that there is any other reason that made you to talk over phone at midnight and that also out of the room' Geet could not complete her statement because Maan put a finger on her lips, hushing her 'shh! So that's what has changed your attitude towards me' he smiled at her while setting her free. 'You won't understand, Geet' was the last thing he said before Geet entered into the washroom.

It was the night prior to the 'naamakarma' that Maan was thinking how to clear the misunderstanding going on in Geet's mind regarding his phone call. He kept the last bouquet of red roses in the terrace and hurried his way to down stairs to take his wife up there. Geet was reading a baby care book when Maan entered into the room and glanced at him quickly. Maan was dressed beautifully as if he was about to go out to somewhere 'where are you planning to go?' Geet asked as she could not resist seeing him like that. She heard Maan's answer more like a mockery at her when he said 'to heaven'. After a long pause he added 'with you, my sweet wife' knowing that his every word has a special affect on her. 'I' m not interested at all' Geet showed her attitude to him, making her more attractive to him. He opened the wardrobe, took a red sari and placed it on the bed in front of her. She gestured at him concerned about the baby, but he has arranged a baby sitter to make their special moment comfortable with each other.

Maan waited at the baby room by the time Geet dressed herself in the red silky sari that revealed her curves. She looked as beautiful as a red rose that held all its petals within itself, refusing to spread those at the moment. For her she should spread all the petals only for her husband, Maan.

He saw her standing at the door step of the baby room, with her hair open flowing around her shoulders, watching him who forgot to blink his eyes upon seeing her. He was looking at her like he was seeing her as beautiful for the very first time as he always see her becoming more beautiful than before. Without his knowledge he approached to her holding her hand, planted a kiss on the back of her palm. He misunderstood her when she lowered her gaze, thinking that she expected him to kiss her right then and there, but she walked to the cot and kissed on the sleeping baby's forehead. Maan smiled at him being foolish, but followed her out of the room, wrapping her with his arm.

Outside the room, Maan took a piece of cloth and blind folded her before he lifted her off the ground into his arms. 'Where are you taking me, Maan?' she asked wondering about where he was heading to. He hushed her by brushing his lips against hers and asked her to remain silent until they reach their destination. When Maan finally landed her on the ground, he asked her to concentrate more and guess where they were. Geet shook her head, but feeling the gentle breezes she sensed that they were at an open area rather than behind the closed doors. 'If your answer is wrong then you will be punished' he whispered into her ears and asked her to guess where they were at the moment. 'Hmmm'.I think we are in the garden' as she finished her answer, he moved forward and kissed her saying that it was the punishment for giving him the wrong answer.

Maan took out the gift he brought to her and placed it gently around her neck. When he finished placing it, he unfolded the blind on her eyes and murmured 'this is my personal side that I kept away from you'. Geet looked at her reflection from the mirror in front of her and looked at the necklace around her neck that has a pendant with letter 'M'. Maan observed her expressions and saw the tears gathering into her eyes. His knew that she loves to cry when she is very happy, so did not mind about it, but stood there until she ran into his arms, thanking for the surprise.
