Dear friends,

Hello! Hope the weekend is treating you well. I am more than amazed to see that most daily analysis writers are happy with the track. Wonderful! We have grown finally, huh! But some are depressed for sure and cursing the team and well as threatening to correct themselves by Monday and show their corrected selves on the next episode. All my prayers for the team. LOL!

Now G-team, do not get scared by the number of threats you receive, do not change your path or try to please everyone just to keep the peace. Because one who tries to please everyone ends up pleasing nobody including himself. In fact I applaud you for the move you made in the last episode. You just opened a huge number of possibilities and gave a whole lot of sense to the show that you have never done before. I don't know if my understanding about the current track matches with what you team actually wanted to say but I very much liked and appreciated your excellent work. Indeed its totally a group work because a single head cannot come up with such an extraordinary concept; excellent job! Wish you all the best with your upcoming episodes. Now I would like to make a suggestion though if its ok and that is, whenever you feel or observe that people are not getting you, try to make yourselves clear rather than changing the whole track fearing the fans, the authorities, the channel or the loss of trps. For example, suppose you are not letting an aged man to enjoy some sweet dish. Definitely others may think that you're rude and observing this if you change your mind and gave the man back his sweets just to appear good in front of others instead of explaining that the man actually has diabetes, then you're very much mistaken. I hope I am able to explain what I mean. Explain in your coming episodes why you chose this path and what good is it to bring the show, the fans and the most beloved couple maan-geet. This is for the fans who love the show but not always get it.

Now about the show, I am overwhelmed by the creativity that opened a thousand windows of my mind. Our love for maan and geet got us so blind that we almost failed to realize why actually they are together and were almost getting married. Lets walk down the memory lane of maan's emotional groW*H on the show. Maan was a rude man and completely hated interacting with geet so many times in HP. After coming back to delhi his meeting with geet in the Canadian embassy and also in his office left him in utter annoyance. Geet's mistakes and restlessness in the office kept offending him like anything. The only thing that truly made him calm himself was her innocence and helplessness which eventually made him help her constantly in spite of his complete frustration. Slowly he came to realize that her mistakes and simplicity is touching his soul and he learned to laugh at those instead of getting irritated. Then his change bothered himself, he tried to change back and failed and accepted that he liked being with her. At one point he realized that he got accustomed being with her and now wants to help her out in her every difficulty because he developed feelings for her and wanted to see her happy and smiling. He came to believe that she cant go on with life without his assistance and this assistance made him feel good and great inside. He found a reason for her to stick with him. When maan gave geet the list of favors that he did for her selflessly I was thinking of the movie "pretty woman" where Richard gere said Julia Roberts that the never treated her like a p*** and all Julia replied was "you just did". Similarly maan's declaration made all those good work seem merciful. Deep inside maan feels that he ignored geet's mistakes in the office, her stupidities in parties, her pregnancy issue and even disparaged the reputation of the family for geet who is actually sometimes responsible and other times the reason for all those incidents. He doesn't even know that sasha was actually responsible for a lot if incidents that went on in the office. He thinks that geet was responsible but he was kind enough to ignore those. So geet's reply that getting married would be another charity was just perfect one. During argument we tend to express our innermost feelings unknowingly. He was so hurt and annoyed that he couldn't help expressing how many times he helped her without questioning and how come he is being doubted now? But unfortunately he expressed something else that he didn't mean to. See, false makes us brag where truth makes us silent. Maan's love was true and so he couldn't talk about it when asked but the favors was done with discomfort and anxiety and so it was easy to talk about it. Maan was and is still now proud. If maan doesn't cross out his ego, no real feelings will survive. Ego monster will eat all the good feelings up. Maan needs to work on that.

About geet, I applaud her mentality; I mean she is the girl, the woman, the heroine. She stood up for whatever she believed to be right. She got it wrong but why would she believe that its wrong without solid proof? Any woman in her place like sasha, would die to just get married to MSK as soon as possible and ignore all the mistakes he makes or the doubts that he created. But geet, she didn't give herself in to maan blindly. The moment she found a good reason to doubt him, she did. So lets understand why? Walking down geet's memory lane we see that what she feels for maan is mainly gratefulness. Then being with him constantly made her emotionally attached to him which is the only possible thing to happen when you live with someone in the same house for some time. Repeated falling on him and eyelocks made both of them physically stimulated which sadly, is not at all real love. The rest we all know. So although she has all the reasons to be utterly grateful to him she has not found a single reason to never doubt or ask why he kept on helping her who is absolutely nothing special(in her POV), helpless and living a miserable life? I mean, lets get real, we all question our near and dear ones. We question the Almighty, out parents, or closest friends whenever things don't go our way. So why should geet be an exception? Why cant geet question whenever she has one? How and when did maan become a God? So she questioned and the answer along with the list of favors disheartened her terribly. Finally she decided to relieve him from doing her another favor of marriage and leave. Geet initiated the fight, no doubt; she was mistaken, no doubt but after what she heard, it was impossible to stay with him for any respectable woman. So wrong reason-argument- right action(approved by ego monster).

Now we all know that they both love and complete each other. They know too about the love but painfully don't know how they complete each other and also the real selves of each other. Geet doubts his every word all the time and maan keep thinking that she is not safe to be let out alone in the world. So maan now needs to discover that geet was not making mistakes all the time rather a victim of the office people, her pregnancy is not her headache alone instead the responsibility of the khurana family and that geet helped discover his emotional sides in a lot of ways. Geet needs to recognize that maan is a man of strong principles and he means whatever he says. He is not like dev (her bitter experience) who says one thing with passion but does something else. So that in the future, in critical situations she wont have to believe him blindly rather know for sure the real man within him. She should realize that maan actually brought out the courage in her which helped her become the strong person she is today. When they both learn about their true selves they will hopefully come to unite again permanently with deep love and respect for each other. Until then its meaningless to get married or say that they love each other because frankly, although we know them fully, they don't.

Overall I rate the episode 8.5/10 for the drama element and some superb acting by GC and DD👏...I hv issues with techinal dept😡..editing nad sound was patchy again

When Egos clash: Can our love for another outweigh our intrinsic love for ourselves?

Ego is the self of an individual. It is what makes us unique from others and the world. In psychoanalysis, ego is the division of the psyche that is conscious, and is responsible for the immediate control of thought and behavior. In other words, it is the part of the psyche that is most in touch with external reality. I think in Friday's episode we got to witness the struggle between ego and romantic love. Maan and Geet both were in an internal tug of war with their love for each other and their intrinsic love for themselves i.e. ego. Their ego got the best of them. Their love lost that day; it lost to their individuality. In other words, the "main" overcame the "hum" in their relationship.

Maan and Geet are two very strong individuals. And it is safe to say that this is the first "real" relationship for both of them. Some individuals find it very easy to adjust to being in a relationship, whereas others find it difficult. No matter how much we love each other there are those moments when our instinct to self preserve clouds our judgment. That is what happened to Maan and Geet. The moment Geet learned about Maan getting Dev out on bail, all her insecurities and trust issues came crashing outside and she went right back into self preservation mode. Let's try to understand where Geet is coming from. She has been betrayed by her family merely three months ago, which caused her to have serious trust issues. Then here comes Maan, whom she has grown to trust more than herself and she thinks he betrayed her. We have to realize how Geet views Maan. For her, Maan is divine and perfect and in her eyes he let her down. Was she wrong to jump to conclusions? Should she have known better?

Let's consider Maan. Geet looked him straight in the eye and told "I won't marry you". That is a big blow for any guy and a colossal one for someone like Maan. Maan not only thinks very highly of himself, but ever since he saved Geet's life, he also feels that she belongs to him. To get rejected by the woman he loves is something he cannot bear. So Maan reacts to Geet walking out of his life by going to self preservation mode and trying to stop her. Fear of loss is attached to ones ego, because if they leave, you're alone.

Since the day Maan saved Geet's life, he feels deeply responsible for her. That is why the day when he broke the mirror in the bathroom he said, "I have to carry on this fake engagement for Geet's sake because she can't take care of herself. He said something along the same lines when they returned home from the train station and third time on Friday. I think that Maan saying "You can't survive without my help" was said in a fit of rage. But it revealed something he believes to be true. He may not voice it all the time, but when his ego is hurt or his importance in her life is questioned, those feelings come out. Somewhere in his mind he thinks that Geet can't do anything without him because in one way or another all her accomplishments are linked to him.

This separation will play positive role in Maan and Geet's relationship in future. Maan will realize that he does things for Geet because he loves her and not because he feels obligated having saved her life. Also, Maan will respect Geet as an equal and not someone who he has to take care of. Right now, their relationship is highly imbalanced in favor of Maan and in the long run, such relationships do not work. In regards to Geet, this separation will help her appreciate what Maan does for her and will learn to not take it for granted. Also, she will realize that he is not God but human just like her. So when they reunite, they will learn to put their relationship ahead of their individuality and their relationship will be that much stronger. And also they will know that they are together because they love each other and not out of obligation.
