What if your family member is a criminal?
You know that he is wrong. You know that what he did is wrong by every moral standard. It is unethical and inhumane. It is a a horrendous crime which can never be justified. You know what the right thing to do would be.
You know it all.
But you also know that he is your family. He is your own blood.
So does this fact change your sense of right and wrong in anyway?
It will definitely make you hesitate. Its only human. But will it also make you reluctant to go to the law?
I am not supporting any of the view.I would just like to know what you think.Lets debate on this in a healthy way.

You are right when you say that while going against family one will be hesitant.
But he should never be reluctant.
What Dev did to Geet was horrible and this act should not go unpunished.
Even if Maan didn't love Geet and the situation had been less complex Maan would never have supported Dev.Because what is wrong is wrong.Nothing can change it.
It can be argued that why would a person go against his family for some XYZ.But every human has some principles which are bigger than any family bonds.

I like the way you have phrased your opinion.
Yes,what Dev did to Geet was ethically and morally wrong and that act should not go unpunished but this fact doesn't make it any easier, right?
Lets say hypothetically a person has committed a crime of much lesser magnitude than that of Dev.Then will you support your family and pass it off as incident which is of little consequence?
