We all know that TnD have a penchant for ripping off ideas from films, but for heaven's sake, why not copy from a decent film at least? The SS track seems to be inspired by the 2000 disaster, Dil Kya KAre.
If you haven't seen the movie(you're lucky, though if you get MAX you will end up watching it sooner or later), here is a brief outline:
Ajay and Mahima play a happily-married couple who have a small adopted daughter. There is also family friend Chandrachur who is secretly in love with Mahima. Then a mysterious woman—Kajol—enters their lives and it is discovered that she is the child's biological mother. What Mahima doesn't know is that she actually had a one-night stand with Ajay in a train and left the next morning without even asking his name (talk of the 21st century-woman!😆), and the child is a result of that encounter.
When mahima discovers the truth, she throws a fit and walks out of the house. But eventually, after a lot of bhashans, it is decided that the husband-wife must stay together and the wife must accept things as they are. Kajol walks away alone.
I was appalled at the insensitivity with which Prakash Jha handled the subject. And now it seems TnD are using it! The fact the Vidhi (SS-what's with the keketaish names—Vidhi and Vedika😕) did not know Armaan's name, Armaan's asking Jassi what she would feel if there were another woman in his life, the "raaz" that ss talks about, and finally, the fact that in the movie, the hero's real-life wife played the "other woman"---all seem to point in this direction.
The one redeeming feature in the movie was the song "Pyaar ke liye chaar pal kam nahi the" which I LOWE, and if it gets picurised on SandA I will barf! 😡Now why can't TnD get "inspired" by Yash Chopra like they usually do—after all even the Holi scene was copied from "Darr", right?
