"You are telling the truth?" he asked not because he did not believe her but the way she seemed to worry about his family and his respect in the society stunned him. Something niggled at him, he felt there had to be a more profound reason for her to have run away like that especially in light of what had transpired between them earlier that day. He had seen her in the semi dressed state and then had put the jewellery on her that showed her exactly the relationship they are having, pure like the moonlight that bathed them and true like the pieces of jewellery he had adorned her with.

He then took a step towards her but faltered as he suddenly felt his feet were made of rubber. Geet saw this, held his shoulders to support him and called out for help. The nurse and Doctor entered the room and helped Maan back to the room.

Dev had found Naintara and took her away from the hospital as he came to know that Maan and Geet had met and he knew she would take could care of Maan Veeji. He also called Daadima to let her know that Maan had gained consciousness but too weak to accept visitors.

Geet settled Maan in his bed and sat next to him on the bed holding his hand. Maan tried to speak when she put a hand on his mouth and admonished him, "Chup, ab aap kuch nahin bolenge. Pehle aap theek ho jaaiye phir sawaal karna."

Geet nursed Maan for the rest of the week to help him gain his strength back. Maan recovered slowly and he was being discharged today. Geet felt a sense of excitement and she had wanted to take him to the temple to thank God for giving her a second chance with this wonderful man. She felt cocooned in his love and wanted to reaffirm her commitment to him in front of God. As soon as he was discharged she took him to the Shiv temple. She pulled the saree pallu over her head as they walked up the steps of the mandir.

Once in front of God, they prayed; each asking the lord to bring happiness and love in their lives. Geet then put the Taveez around his neck and said, "Aaj bhagwan sakshi hain hamare pyar ke aur woh hamein kabhi judaa nahi kareinge. Aaj iss dhaage se hum dono judee hain ek doosre se, hameinsha hameisha ke liye."

Maan bent his head as Geet put the talisman around his neck, then held her hands in his and repeated what Geet had said as a vow to always cherish her and be her strength when she was weak, be her guide when she needed direction and be the one she turned to in her hour of need.

They then went home. Once in his room he gathered her into his arms and held her close. He needed to feel her close to him ever since he had seen her this morning in the delectable sari and after their heart warming promises in the temple. He crushed her to him as he muttered, "tum hamesha mujhe apne saath paaogi Geet, har haal mein. Kabhie bhi mujhe chorrke mat jaana jiss tarah tumne mangni ke din kiya tha. Mein toot jaaonga."

Geet then sobbed as she heard the heart wrenching words, she pulled back a bit though not leaving the circle of his arms to look into his eyes as she confessed the truth that he still had to hear, "Mujhe aapse kuch kehna hai. Mujhe aapko batana hai kyon men chali gayee thi, kyon mein ghabra gayee thi ki sab, aap kya sochenge jab aapko sach pata chalega. Daadima kya sochenge, unpe kya beeteingi, aap pe kya beeteingi."

"Chup bilkul chup, mujhe ab kuch nahin sunna, mujhe sirf itna pata hai ki tum meri ho aur tumhara ateet koi mayne nahi rakhta. Mein kisi ko bhi apne beech aane nahi doonga," said Maan vehemently and stopped her from saying any further by putting his hand on her mouth. Geet kissed his palm and smiled at him.

He then gathered her in another crushing hug, glad to have her expressing her feelings. He realized at least the accident had unleashed her latent feelings and he smiled as he felt their heart beats mingle and beat to a rhythm that was one.

Maan slid his hands up her back and brought them to cup her face as he gave her a lingering kiss on her lips. He then let his hands run down her arms as he slowly traced the path from her lips to her navel with his lips and finally got on his knees and gave a peck on her stomach as he brought her hands with his and held her stomach in a protective gesture that told Geet exactly what he meant when he had that he won't let anyone come in between them and them included the baby.

Geet overwhelmed and overcome with emotions could not stop her tears from rolling down and cheeks and fall on his forearms. She also slid down on her knees and put her hand on his cheek in a gesture of understanding and love.

As they rose in a silent promise holding each other's hands, she asked him in a soft voice, "Kya hamara rishta parivaar ke bandhan se badhkar hai?"

Before he could answer her, they heard a knock on the door and Daadima walked into the room.
