Ragini's Past

Ragvir's love story is perhaps one of the most beautiful love stories on TV.

Ranvir knew Ragini as his bhabhi Sadhna's sister and Ragini knew him as Sadhna's devar. But they fell in love as Anmol and Anamika which is why Ragini finds it hard to call Anmol(Apurva) by his name because the name is very heavily attached to her love for Ranvir.

A little background information which is relevant: Sadhna married Alekh for 2 reasons: Ragini will marry Ranvir, and money to save KN. Vasu is unhappy with this since she doesn't like Ragini based on her color, but she agrees anyways thinking she'll fix this problem. Luckily for Vasu, Ranvir comes back with a girlfriend--Sonia--and thus refuses to marry Ragini. However, Sonia is a cheat only ineteresed in Ranvir's money. He finds out and is heartbroken..

Now on to AA and Ragvir...Lols..

Ragini used to go for dance classes and once by mistake she calls Ranvir who yells at her and is rude (this is right after he finds out about Sonia being a cheat). Ragini gives it back to him and Ranvir feels bad after Sadhna explains that he overreacted. They talk again because of a wrong number and slowly becomes friends, and then fall in love while talking to each other everyday. They give each other the names: Anmol and Anamika. Sadhna finds out that Ranvir-Ragini are talking to each other only but she leaves it upto God to get them together if they will and doesn't tell either that she knows--which causes problems later on..

After a few missed chances, both meet each other at Taj Mahautsav where Ragini dances. They are both shocked and Ranvir walks away confused about how he never realized that Anamika was Ragini. Vasu misleads Ranvir into thinking that Sadhna/Ragini knew everything and were cheating him. Ranvir is very confused about everything and decides to leave India and go back to the US. Meanwhile, Ragini is heartbroken that Ranvir has refused to accept her and that Sadhna knew everything and didn't tell. Kaushi doesn't want Ragvir to get together anyways so finds a rishta for Ragini and wants her to marry Shishir. At the airport, Ranvir realizes that he truly loves Anamika who is Ragini and can't live without her and comes back to apologize to Ragini, but Kaushi doesn't let them meet.

He plots with Alekh and Sadhna and confesses his love to Ragini, who obviously recirpocates.

However, Vinu is arrested because of Naveen and this creates friction between the two families and Ragini breaks off her relationship with Ranvir saying she cannot marry into a family where her parents and brother isn't respected. Ranvir tries his level best to free Vinu only because it would make Ragini happy, without expecting anything in return. He finds out about Naveen's ploy and frees Vinu only to come back to Ragini's engagement to Shishir..Shishir luckily is a good guy and sees that Ragvir love each other so breaks the engagement.

Mamaji tells Ranvir that he is willing to let Ragvir get married if Vasu accepts Ragini. Ranvir tries everyhting to get Vasu to agree but she doesn't until Alekh asks her. Alekh has always hated Vasu and would never talk to her but for the first time he did and it melts Vasu's heart.

Ragvir engagement happens and they get married amidst snide remarks about Ragini's color..but Ranvir protects her and stands up for her..

AA's story begins from a wrong number call after Sonia's deceit has been revelaed to all. Ranvir is really broken because of Sonia and has started to believe all girls are bad. Ragini is trying to call a friend from dance class but by mistake calls Ranvir who tells her it's wrong number. But when Ragini calls again by mistake, he blows up on her completely--taking out his anger for Sonia on Ragini. He calls her an idiot and is very rude to her. Sadhna makes him understand that it wasn't Ragini's fault (she doesn't know it's Ragini). He calls back to apologize and Ragini very sweetly and positively explains that he should always move ahead in life even if things slow him down. Following Ragini's advice, Ranvir starts going to work showing that he is moving on. Ragini again calls him by mistake and both start talking and become phone friends on the condition that they will never meet each other. Ranvir names Ragini Anamika because Anamika means a person without a name. Ragini names him Anmol because he is an "anmol" or precious friend and their frinedship is very dear to her.

Pretty soon both become used to each other and feel the need to talk to each other everyday. Once, on Mamaji's birthday and since Ragini didn't go to dance class, she doesn't get to talk to Ranvir (she always talked to Ranvir from dance class only--her friends used to tease her a lot). Both Ranvir and Ragini are very restless to talk to each other, but it's very ironic because both are together in Ragini's house but have no idea that their phone friends are each oher. Ragini calls him from home telling him why she couldn't talk today and makes him promise that he will never call her at home.

The phone at Ragini's dance institute is dead and Ranvir is extremely restless to talk to her and ends up calling her house desite his promise not to. Malti bhabhi picks up and gets suspicious. Ragini finally calls him from home and Ranvir admits that he called her house and Ragini gets really angry and says she never wants to talk to him again. Ranvir gets really upset and calls Ragini a few times in her dance class to say sorry but she refuses to listen and Ranvir gets angry saying that he won't talk to her until she calls him. Both are depressed and miss each other. Sadhna plays cupid between them and makes both realize that they were overreating and all is well. Btw, Sadhna realizes that Ranvir and Ragini are Anmol and Anamika but doesn't tell either what she knows--leaving it up to God to sort everything out.

Ranvir admits to Sadhna that he's never felt so happy before in his life, even when he was with Sonia--his supposed love. But he doesn't know if it's love. Eventually both Ragvir realize that they love each other and wish to meet. Even Vasu notices Ranvir's chnaged behavior, but he tells her he'll tell her wen it's more concrete. Ragvir have a few missd meetings for some reason or the other. One is because Ragini leaves seeing Ranvir, wondering about what he will think if e sees her with a guy without realizing that Ranvir is her Anmol. Vasu however has been following Ranvir and figures out that Ragini is the girl Ranvir is in love with and is super unhappy. Ranvir is super angry with Ragini for ditching him last minute but she makes it upto him and tells him that she is dancing at Taj Mahautsav and that's where they will meet.

Vasu thinks it's all Sadhna's ploy and takes her to Sharma house and insults all of them. Ragini realizes that Ranvir is Anmol and is super shocked. She's in a dilemna whether to dance or not but the hope in her heart that Ranvir loves her and will accept her makes her perform and Ranvir finds out that Ragini is Anamika. He walks out shocked and confused that he never figured out that Anamika was Ragini when she was in front of him this whole time. Vasu misleads Ranvir into thinking that Sadhna/Ragini knew that he was Anmol from the beginning and that they cheated him. Ranvir is super confused on whether he loves Ragini or not. He knows that he loves Anamika but is unsure if he loves Ragini knowing that both are one and the same. Meanwhile, Ragini is heartbroken thinking that Ranvir has rejected her and on knowing that Sadhna knew everything. Ranvir decides to go back to the US. At the airport, he realizes that he loves Ragini and cannot live without her. He rushes to beg her forgiveness but Kaushi refuses to let him meet Ragini despite his pleas.
