I know that there will be all kinds of people who will jump all over me for saying this but of all the people involved in this current track I feel the worse for Shakti

It does not appear that Shakti has had any genuine affection from anyone in his life. SS has always doted on Krishna despite the fact that whenever he has to do anything or go anywhere - its Shakti that is at his side and Shakti that is running his errands and that no matter what he says Shakti never talks back and never gives him excuses.

Shakti does whatever Amma tells him (including beating up his wife) and yet her eyes never light up for him the way they do for Komol and Krishna. He got saddled with a wife he clearly didn't want or choose and who does not seem to know him at all (meaning there is no way that she loves him - whatever she does it out of duty not affection). He does not seem to have any friends the way Krishna has T and C. He does not seem to have anyone that loves him best. He has no one to confide in.

I wish the baby track had not ended because I think he would have fallen head over heels for that baby - something that was his and that loved him and that he could love without shame.

Now he is seeing a solitary chance at happiness at his choosing. No one seems to ever think about him and his feelings.

On a related note. There are rules against bashing on this forum but people seem to be able to bash Shukti whenever they want witout any problem

if you had to look at the character Shakti objectively (assuming he was unmarried and did not have a wife)

Shakti is a loner. even among his siblings he is not close to anyone.

he is an obedient son. yet he is loved dutifully not indulgently, he is ridiculed constantly by his father for being brawny as opposed to brainy. his mother uses him too rather than just loves him.

his character has shown him previously to be an uninvolved yet protective elder brother.

if this guy were a teen in the west, he would be a perfect candidate for emotional counselling and a sure bet for adult aggressive behaviour (exspecially when you add in SS's exposure, endoctrination and mentorship). no wonder he is the way that he is.

I don't condone his actions but I agree with him that his treatment of kesar is due to his father's exposure. children learn the lessons theur parents teach them - their application of it rightly or wrongly can never be predicted or controlled

BTW, accurate and VERY BRAVE topic.😃

don't be concerned to express yourself even if it goes against popular opinion.😃

PS: Jaswant does an amazing job. his screen presence and acting abilities leave us repulsed by the character's actions yet curiously entertained by his presence - cannot say the same for positive characters like Aman. both character and the actor leave me cold and disinterested. their presence actually annoys me and makes me yearn for a fast forward button

So there you go Mr. Jaswant - Kudos to your acting, honest character portrayal and your fan club of 1. unless more care to join the sad case of this misguided soul😃

Shakti will keep a therapist employed for years! He has a lot of issues and one being not really loved by anyone.

But the actor does an awesome job and he is really quite hunky! He looks like he works out and needs to take off his shirt occasionally so we can see!! He seems to have a better body than Arhaan

agree with you..............see like amma, he also is the way he is because of his surroundings and whatever he got of his life..............we admire kriya because they love each other........when pratigya didn't love krishna at first many members raged at her for not loving him back when pratigya was right in her stand........same logic could be applied for sakthi and kesar........sakthi just don't love....i repeat LOVE kesar.........😕he was forced to live with a woman he didn't like and he took revenge from her for making his life unhappy by making her life a living hell.............and i think sure he is jealous of krishna but he loves him and his anger is only because he does everything his parents says but don't get things that could make him happy.....whereas krishna gets everything he wants even going against his parents..............and i think the CVs should show him refining himself......he should feel for all the kids he killed and should fall in love with kesar pine for a kid from kesar........that would be his maximum punishment.....to earn for a kid from the very same women he hated with a passion once in his life and knowing fully well its just not possible.............😭

Shakti is the most neglected and devalued member of the Thakur household ..........the only other one being Amma. . If Krishna is a great husband but a horrible son .............Shakti is exactly the opposite .............he is a horrible husband but a fantastic son . . He is a monster . He became what his Dad made him . His Dad took him under his wing at a very early age and made him do his dirty work ........he grew up doing his Dad's dirty work while his Dad focussed on getting power , socialising with political bigwigs , increasing his estate . Shakti went on shovelling the dirt and clearing up the trail his Dad left behind .. Without Shakti ..SS will crumble , Shakti is his backbone . Silently and staunchly he stands beind his Dad with unconditional support . He clears up the dirt without even SS telling him to now .....he is used to it and accepts that as part of his life . THATS his JOB . Pushing the dirt away under the carpet . . While Krishna romped around with friends like a bratty prince , enjoying SS's wealth and clout , Shakti was put to work in his young days ...............exposed to hard brutal jobs that he was expected to deliver to perfection .As he did each job , he lost a bit of his soul , but he did them with his eyes focussed on his Dad . He cared for only HIS good opinion , nothing else . Very soon , no soul was left ........today , Murder for Shakti is no big deal . . His relationship with SS is not unlike the Devil's servants with him ............they do everything for the DEvil and only look at him hopefully for a little bit of praise , appreciation , bas but rarely get it , mostly they get is the Devil's anger if they mess up a job even in the slightest way . Same way , Shakti constantly looks for appreciation from his father , who rarely gives it . He takes him for granted and ignores him , and pampers his youngest son who gives him nOthing but takes everything from him . . Krishna was allowed to marry the girl of his choice but Shakti was not allowed to exercise a choice even within his own caste . It was an arranged marraige ...........SS cud easily have allowed him to reject some rishtas till he selected the girl whose looks appeal to him . But without taking his choice into consideration , Kesar was selected for him and he was expected to toe the line . . That was when the finer feelings in him totally died . Selecting the woman of his choice wud have not killed the lover in him ..........it wud be alive to a certain extent . A woman can soften a hardened man .....especially if she appeals to him . In this case , the woman did not appeal to him . I am not saying here that it is rIGHT to hate dark people ...plzzz dont get me wrong .All I am saying is He had a thing for fair women . For him , beauty was rosy cheeks and demure brown eyes perhaps .......His only novelty in life ............choice of a WIFE was destroyed so ruthlessly , so insensitively that something in him died and he completely became a monster . Had the girl been of hIS choice , we wud perhaps see the human in him alive today . The possibility of a hardened man who had a rough childhood , changing is when . he marries and falls in love with his wife. Wife can change him . Pratigya changed Krishna coz she was Krishnas choice . . He gets attached to his child . Child's innocence humanises him . We see SS's human part when he pampers KOmal or Krishna . . With Shakti , Both these instancs r gone . Wife is someone forced on him , He never saw the face of his blood so we really dont know HOW he wud react as a father .. . The creatives were not so intelligent to kill the baby off . They cud have brought an interesting element in the story ............that he grudgingly gets attached to his child . That transition wud have been very very interesting to watch . Infact , men who dont wanna see the thobda of their child , when they get attached , they surpass normal fathers .........they get cRAZILY attached . U see .....The hate they hold for the unborn foetus is a mixed medley of eMOTIONS after all , that get channelised inspite of themselves in an unknown direction for them . They first stare at the baby , mystified and curious inspite of themselves inspite of the anger . Then they observe absent mindedly and with more curiosity as the baby develops . When the baby starts filling out and looks beautiful and smiles etc .......they start feeling INTERESTED inspite of themselves . They look at it when no one is around . When the baby crawls , touches them or speaks , they respond , pretending to be indifferent , but a little amused . When The baby picks tHEM and not the mother INSPITE of their indifference and this is pointed out by others in talks , they feel FLATTERED although they dont show it . They actually Pick it up once or twice , pretending to be angry that its left carelessly in their way etc . The physical closeness ........the smell of the child , it wriggling in the arms , holding the shirt in its tiny fist , melts them . The attachment starts ..........and it gushes so much later that they actually spoil the kid to the protest of their wives . Hardened men sometimes make the most doting dads . . CVs blew that chance . They r focussed on showing social issues like illegal remarraige etc in a half baked way . The one who will solve these issues is Pratigya with chiffons , high heels , shampooed hair and Dheem Tana in background . . They cud have shown Pratigya bringing some magazine people using her Dad's contacts so that Kesar features on a magazine cover as the beauty of the year . She is a really beautiful woman , u know . They cud have shown the mags people dressing her , taking photographs and talking about her beauty , Shakti overhearing it and looking at wife with new surprised eyes . They cud have shown that as Thakurs although they first rejected the idea of Kesar being photographed for magazine , SS listens to Guruma and gives permission as it will get him publicity . But alas , we dont see Pratigyas brains working this way via CVS . . Shakti shares an unconscious bond with Amma .Amma is the only woman he respects .Whenever Amma is sad , he asks roughly KYA HUA . He was more concerned that Amma shudnt go to jail , he personally was not that scared of it . He also sides with Amma when SS crushes her .........HA TOH KYA GALAT BOL RAHI HAI WOH ...he occasionally dares to ask . . Krishna Komal r horrible children with no love for mother , only bothered about what they want , bas .We want quality time with our spouses , bas is their motto . The only time they came thru for Amma was when they stopped Kesar from lodging complaint .

Shakti is no ones favorite ..........not SS ..s , not Amma's , Not Komal's as Fav bro . And he knows it .

He speaks rarely but it pricks when he does . When SS slapped him for making Kesar abort the babies he said

So even in this u will do ur manmani , is it ? Even here my wishes won't be taken into account ?

When SS accused him of hitting kesar and the miscarraige that followed

U have really no feelings about the Khandaan's izzat . All u care for Pratigya bas . In reality ur nothing but a DUMCHALLA.

Shakti speaks the bitter , filtered TRUTH . Always .

He cut Adarsh down to size and MADE him marry Komal when Prof threatened to leave the marraige aisle although initially he hated the idea of giving Komal to that Kayasth family . It was clearly a brother all the way ............No one leaves my sister in the wedding mandap and walks off , I wont hesitate to kill u if u do so. U came here urself asking for her hand , now u bETTER marry her and honor her . If u dont , Ill Kill u . Adarsh desrved it . Krishna was more absorbed in his OWN marraige . Infact , to get Pratigya in the house , Krishna SACRIFICED Komal in a way . He may be Komals favorite brother but Shakti is the more responsible one ........He made the marraige happen .

Responsible bro , responsible son , hateful husband , a hardened monster , Shakti , who has a spate of vices like drinking or going to prostitutes has very little of the human side left in him ............it is only glimpsed when he still takes offence at the blatant unfair pampering of Krishna by SS ............we see the hurt boy who was neglected abominably by his father and was always taken for granted . He is one of the most unfortunate characters in this serial , every bit a victim as Kesar and Amma and also the most realistic .

Did Shakti, ever speak up to his parents, before marriage to Kesar?

If Shakti dosen't love his wife, why did he kept sleeping with her? Even though he sleeping with her, he still visit kotha. I find him to be pure wicked, the way he terrorizer Aarushi.

Oh he is a complete monster . He lives in the House of Horrors , What else to expect .We have to judge him by that yardstick only . As a Monster son , he is good to Daddy Monster and Mommy monster .

🤣🤣🤣............according to the tv show Monster family in the usa.....they were nice people😃
