You Belong To Me ' Part 22

She closed her eyes and counted up to three and started but felt that something strong trapped her ruining her plan. 'aaaaaaaaaaaaah' she cried but a strong hands covered her mouth dragging her aside towards the cupboard. Slowly the man approached in front of her; still he kept his hand on her mouth and lifted her chin with his free hand. 'Shantanu?' she called his name and realized that the small boy was part of his plan. 'So it was your plan, right?' she asked him as he withdrew his hands from her mouth. 'Shh!' he hushed her with his finger on her mouth as someone may catch him in a wrong place. 'Just wanted to kiss you as it was so long' he said huskily, caressing her cheeks. She held the collar of his shirt and pulled him closer teasing him, but escaped from his trap as he closed his eyes and bent down at her. Shaan opened his eyes as his forehead hit against the wall and banged his hand on it.

'Mom, I really don't know why Shaan and Yash found these people so important' Khushboo complained to Madhvi while entering into the room. Khanak wondered about what she should do next. She had no choice so went back to Shaan not knowing what else to do. Shaan, who was observing the movements of Khanak dragged her right into his arms. 'Gosh! I can't even imagine how these people do everything together and it's so unhygienic' Madhvi talked to Khushboo while sitting on the bed. They kept on talking and complaining to each other of what they were suffering at the moment because of their family.

A naughty smile was curved on Shaan's lips when he noticed the henna cone in Khanak's hands. It took split seconds for him to think of a way to tease his wife, Khanak, he took it from her hands as she too did not refuse to hand it back to him. Shaan bit his lower lip trying to control his laughter as he slowly pressed some henna out from the cone on top of her nose. 'Shantanu, I will'' he covered her mouth with his hand again as his mom and bhabhi were still in the room. 'Khanak, if you want you go on with your bak bak but remember mom and bhabhi are still here' Shaan whispered into her ears reminding her of where they were. Khanak wiped off the henna on her nose from her dhupatta and laughed at her foolishness by giving him the cone. She should have thought about it before giving it to him, after all he was good at teasing her on everything. 'Mom, did you hear that sound? I think someone is hiding in the room' Khushboo moved closer to Madhvi when she heard the sound of the henna cone falling on to the ground. Shaan gathered Khanak into him as Madhvi approached towards the cupboard. Khanak closed her eyes when Madhvi's hand reached to the cupboard door, but she could not go forward as there was a thud at the door. 'Who is coming now?' Madhvi murmured as she went to open the door. 'Didi, I was searching for you all the time, come on it's time for the sangeet ceremony' it was Mandhira who came in search of Madhvi. Madhvi and Khushboo got ready and followed Mandhira, finally setting Khanak and Shaan free.

Shaan stood next to a window in the hall, enjoying the Garba performed by the people who were dressed in ethnic Gujarathi wear. Without his knowledge a gang of girls dragged Shaan into the middle of the hall, making him to move along with the crowd. It was the time of dandia raas, and he was handed with dandiya sticks by Khanak who was already moving along the rest of the crowd enjoying the dandiya. Knowing that he has no idea of dandiya, Khanak turned to him with her sticks encouraging him to move along with her. Shaan caught the dandiya sticks so easily and he did not realize when the event was finally finished. It was at dinner, Yash came and complimented on Shaan's dandiya tactics, saying that he too has to get some lessons from Shaan.

Gopi looked very beautiful in her bridal wear, which reminded Shaan of his very first meeting with Khanak. She too was dressed beautifully then, and it was the reflection of her pretty face he could not resist on looking. Things have changed and no one has ever thought that life would bring them together like husband and wife.
