Kesar wont REALLY mind if Shakti REMARRIES .Her mind set is like Ammas .

The best part wud be to take advantage of this situation and get land , cash , jewels on Kesars name and a seperate house , where she can live peacefully , without the horror of sleeping next to Shakti or getting beaten by him . Pratigya shud draft the papers PERSONALLY by involving Aman . Let him remarry , who cares . Anyway he will do it .hook or by crook . Why does Pratigya want Kesar to stay married to Shakti for her usool . is it worth it ?

It is illegal she tells Shakti ..........but perhaps it is the BEST THING to happen to Kesar ! It is ESCAPE from that horror . SS is willing to give financial compensation for son's freedom ! If she declines , her fate will be worse . She shud roast her roti while the griddle is HOT .

Which USOOL is important enuf for Kesar to remain sharing bedroom with that brute ?let her take Land , cash , property on her name and WALK OUT AND ESCAPE .

agree kool--very apt-- the man has no love for her n cum wat may--she is not goin to get it frm him--prats shuld use her brains n fite for justice for her in a trulywise manner--whch she wont we kno it--she likes to dare the lion in the eye n stop injustice but ironically justice never happens--ssingh has already used the ploy to get his game rite --he used divorce as a trump card to scare kesar into not creating any fuss over the wedding whch worked very well for him--he told kesar that prats will not let shakti remarry then we will hve no option but to seek divorce frm you--you will be nowhere in society---your parents hve nevr bothered to even luk bac n find out abt your well being--where will you go--here if you remain married--you will continue to be the badi bahu of the house n you can live like befre (humbug😡)--kesar luked all shaken up by the name of divorce--gosh she has reallly been shown to be too naive n ignorant--she still thinks that she has a lot to lose if she gets divorced!!😲

To uphold a principle why shud Kesar share bedroom for years with that monster . So ok .....Pratigya will WIN and succesfully stop Shakti's marraige ..........THEN ?AFTER THAT ? . Kesar will be the same barren servant in that house , occasionally hit by husband .
Divorce court will take YEARS . Judicial system in India is SLOW .To get divorce Kesar has to stay seperate , she has NO HOUSE . Even after miscarraige Pratigya madam brought her back to SAme house , same Bedroom

SS mentioned today , her maayka people didnt BOTHER about her till now .

So the divorce will NOT besuccesful , no judge will entertain it

So why not grab sasurs offer and take property , cash on her name and become free ?let Shakti marry or tarry !

Kools I wrote a similar thing in Hope's post.

I still don't inderstande why Pratigya is hell bent on saving this rotten marraige. What is left in the relation. As you said they will continue to treat her as dirt. Shakti will continue to abuse her amma will continue to exploit her.
Why not get the maximum economical benefit from the Thakur. Move out adopt an orphan and find a purpose to her life which will uplift Kesar's confidence. For crying out loud woman LIBERATE KESAR. No woman needs a monster like Shakti as a husband. But then that would mean Pratigya has no poor soul to save. How will she feel good about herself

KC , what Pratigya has NOT thought of is what will happen if she even succeeds in stopping this marraige .What will be Kesars FATe .

It will be ..BACK TO SQUARE ONE . . Right now SS is very ready to be generous to provide her for LIFe by putting things on HER name legally .Good , grab it and Set her free .Let Shakti marry , have fourteen kids , Let him go to hell .Who wants to be raped by Shakti anyways ?Night after Night ? . Just to prove a LAW and an USOOL , she wants Kesar's marraige with the brute INTACT when she very well knows its a domestic abuse case and the woman needs to flee . This is her chance , she shud take it . Forget the Badi Bahu part , Kesar shud focus on the FINANCE . If Pratigya had an ounce of sense she wud do this for Kesar .But she is only bOOK SMART .

When SS offered that today even i thgt kesar grab the opportunity. Forget what Pratigya is saying. Get away from this brute and find your own life. This is your opportrunity to find yourself. The underlined bit is so true. She has always been intrested in doing what is right or wrong not what best solution to Kesar's problem exactly like the filing of the FIR

apparently the stigma of divorce and the loss of the accompanying social status is a more HORRIFIC reality for Kesar than the constant abuse, misery and drudgery in her marriage to Shakti and her life at TN

And this the woman for who Pratigya has compromised her husband, her marriage and her life.

Hello!

Dropped by and read the thread.

I agree with what kools said that Pratigya is only book smart. She goes about filing complaints and making good use of legal laws but the application hardly leads to good results for practical reasons. It is very important to balance ideals with reality. What Shakti is doing is wrong, but the reality is that Pratigya will hardly be able to stop it, she needs to realise by now that Sajjan Singh gets his way through laws even by hook or crook. Even if she stops it, the practical aspect remains the same- Kesar's life will be miserable as before.

Kesar hasn't got a very good guide, I have to say. She doesn't make balanced decisions.
