I am Anupallavi, I have been following and joining in the forum for SUN TV serials. Also I am currently following MAHALAKSHMI Serial and wondering does anybody out there is also watching the serial. I would really like to start a thread on this serial.If anybody has started it I would like to join them and contribute..

SUMMARY OF THIS SERIAL

MAHALAKSMI's FAMILY ORDEAL

Serial begins with a loving family of Dr. Mahalakshmi and ASP Rajashekar and their 4 children in Ponmalai Estate , Ooty. Estate is owned and run by One day Madhu meets Ramya ( Dr. Maha's daughter) and is smitten by her, but Ramya rejects him. He still continually persist and tell his sister that he likes her and ask his sister to go and propose for him. Sister and brother goes to Dr. Maha's house and ask for Ramya's hand in marriage. Ramya downright rejects him and tells both of them off. The sister pleads and says she will look after Ramya well. Ramya rejects once again. Sister gets angry but calms down for her brother's sake and ask and pleads again. Once again Ramya rejects and Dr. Maha says since her daughter is not interested lets drop it. Sister says Ramya told Madhu she will marry him provided he transfers all properties under his name to Ramya. Madhu is willing to do it. Dr. Maha is shocked and ask Ramya is that true and she said yes just to dissuade this rich Madhu from disturbing and pursuing. Dr. Maha chides Ramya and then pacifies sister so that she can dissuade her brother to forget Ramya. They leave the house feeling insulted. Ramya gets good scolding from mother and she cries for forgiveness and let bygone be bygones provided they all agree not to breathe a word to their father ASP Rajashekar.

Madhu continues to harass Ramya and one day he calls and threaten Ramya he will commit suicide if she does not meet and speak to him. She stupidly goes to the place he mentioned and there the drunk Madhu tries to kill her. In that tussle she accidentally knifes him and he falls down. In shock she freezes and this is witness by Madhavan Dr. Maha's trusted and loyal driver. He tells Ramya to escape home and not to breathe a word to anyone and he told Ramya he will take the blame for Madhu's death. Ramya scared to death goes home and shivers in the bathroom. Apparently that time ASP Rajashekar passes the crime scene and he sees Madhu stabbed and writhing in pain and the last words he uttered was Ramya. This shocks ASP Rajashekar. Could it be his daughter responsible for Madhu's death? He calls the police to clear the body and search for murder weapon in the crime scene. He goes home furious , there Dr. Maha just came home from clinic with a headache, ASP Rajashekar shouts and calls Ramya's name. Ramya panics. ASP shouts and summons everybody and tells Amudha to fetch Ramya. Ramya pretend to bathe to buy time. Meanwhile, whole family puzzled why ASP is shouting and calling for Ramya. He says what should not happen has happen. Ramya finally comes out and speaks calmly to her father. He interrogates her and ask where was she and what was she doing today. She answers him coolly but he disbeliefs hers and starts to hit her and tell her she is lying. She continues to play coolly. Finally he tells everyone that Madhu is dead and somebody killed him and he suspects its his daughter.

Dr. Maha shocked and questions him how could you accuse your daughter. ASP mentioned the last word uttered by Madhu was Ramya.He continues to interrogate Ramya and she then gets fed up finally she says she killed Madhu and challenges him to put her behind bars. He starts hitting Ramya wildly and everyone tries to stop him but no avail and it reaches a boiling point where Dr. Maha whips out her husband's pistol and fires a shot in the air and says if you ever touch my children I will not see you as my husband and will not hesitate to shoot you. She ask him are you man or animal. He says I am an animal. He says the recent he interrogated her in the house is to avoid her from being interrogated by the lady police who will beat her and then when Ramya cries out for father or mother, he cannot stand to see that. He chides his wife and says without shooting me you have kill me and I will never forget this day. Just then a police officer walks in says they have arrested a man who claims killing Madhu. Its Madhavan the Dr. Maha's driver. ASP leaves the house and will never return home.

ASP interrogates Madhavan in the police station and Madhavan says he murdered Madhu because Madhu tried to act indecent towards his daughter( Madhu pulled Madhavan;s daughter;s hand (Actually this happened when Madhu was intoxicated and thought Maliga was Ramya ). Madhavan uses this excuse to ASP. ASP does not believe and sets out to find the real killer.

Meanwhile Easwary prepares the funeral of her brother and at the burning pyre , she instructs her goondas to kidnap Ramya and bring her to cremation area. Easwary wants to take revenge by pushing Ramya into the burning body. Dr. Maha comes in time and rescues Ramya. She advises and also warns Easwary not to mess around with her family as she will not hesitate to take action against her. Another attempt on Ramya and her siblings by Easywary goondas happens. ASP never did come home. Finally , Dr. Maha agrees to move her family Chennai at the insistence of her son Tamil ( Tamil is involved in politics). Tamil was promised that once he comes to Chennai , his Thallivar (political leader friend) will help the family .

They all set to leave Ponmalai estate for Chennai. Unfortunately, the political leader's brother in law hates Tamil and deliberately fails to inform the politician leader of Tamil& family's arrival to Chennai. Poor Maha together with her children and good for nothing Saamiyar brother in law finds a hotel books them in . When Dr. Maha leaves her children under the care of her brother in law to search for a house to rent , this stupid brother calls his revenge seeking wife Laila ( and she calls the cop to raid the hotel) Cops come raid the hotel and arrests Dr. Maha;s children for prostitution charges. Luckily Dr. Maha comes in time and confronts the cops. They refuse to listen until she tells the cops who she is ( she shows the family photo of ASP ) The cops apologise and says they have got wrong info. She chides the cops not being true to their duties. They apologise and leave.

After many attempts to find a house, finally Dr. Maha arrives at one house and it turn out to be her best buddy's house. Saraswathy and her sons and daughter in law lives in that house. The upper portion of the house is empty so she rents it out to Dr. Maha.

A peaceful life begins for Dr. Maha in Chennai in Saraswathy's house. Dr. Maha tries to find a place to run a clinic. She finds one in Chennai but unfortunately it comes under Sanguthayee and Sangupandi area ( they are the rowdy Rangama and Rangapas of that peytai). Their illegal doings always crosses path with Dr. Maha who has not hesitated to call the cops on them)

Tamil tries to find work while being a political speech writer for his Thallivar. Unable to find a job he settles for labour work in a mechanic shop ( layther pathey) but he lies to his family that he works as a supervisor in that factory. His Thalllivar daughter Poongkodi has an eye for him. The Thallivar' s wife brother has an eye for Poongkodi wants to marry her but Poongkodi rejects him, so this fellow plans to kill Tamil. He asks Tamil to place the political parties flag in their opponents area. Tamil willingly does it to get into his Thallivar's good books. Tamil almost got killed. He lied to his mother when the Thallivar asked him to stay in their house for a week so that nobody will attack him. He complies.

During that time Poongkodi and her mother will drug Tamil with a soup and Poongkodi will seduce Tamil ( consummate the relationship). Poongkodi is only doing this not because she truly loves Tamil ( she did once) but because Tamil had rejected her advances and slapped her. So she challenged Tamil that she will make him hers and thereafter torture his life. Eventually, this happened, Poongkodi and Mother tells Poongkodi father , that Poongkodi pregnated by Tamil. All of them confront Dr. Maha & Tamil.They force him to take a DNA test ( paternity test) Test result is positive. Dr. Maha shock and disown son. Tamil refuse to marry Poongkodi, Poongkodi mother's brother learns all this and tries to kill Poongkodi but instead kills Poongkodi father.

Poongkodi and mother threatens Tamil and when Tamil refuse to marry her, she reports to the police and Tamil is sent to jail. Meanwhile, they move into Dr. Maha;s house and tortures them.

Dr. Maha pleads for Tamil to accept Poongkodi ( hearts of hearts Dr. Maha hates it but no choice) . Tamil tell his mom he agrees and tells the same to Poongkodi & her mum with a condition , they must retract their report against him and state that Tamil did not commit what they claim against Poongkodi. Once Tamil is release, he refuses to marry, Dr. Maha is angry that Tamil lied to her and Dr.Maha had promised the Poongkodi that Tamil will marry her. She ask Tamil to get out of the house. Tamil goes stays with his factory buddies, while mother daughter rachasee;s taunts and torments Dr. Maha, Amudha & also steals Ramya's 50 k pay.

Tamil's friends instigate him to kill Poongkodi, in his intoxicated state Tamil goes to his house to attempt to stab Poongkodi but she is safed by her mum and runs for help to Dr. Maha & family. Dr. Maha very upset with Tamil and disowns him again. Next day , Tamil comes and apologize to his mum and then agrees in front of everyone he will marry Poongkodi and will take them with him after marriage so that his family can finally live in peace. He ties the thali on Poongkodi and take her and her mother with him.

Dr. Maha is heartbroken. He finds a rented house and then chases his MIL away. He starts to mistreat Poongkodi for all the things she did towards him .The place where he lives has a bunch of bachelors who forces him to join them on their nightly drinking party. He joins them but Poongkodi comes and ask food from those bachelors ( she calls them annai) .Tamil is furious , he scolds her and warns her not repeat that again. She fights back and threatens him in return . One of those bachelors heard husband wife…fighting ..let see what happens next.

Ramya starts to find work and finally ends up in Bharat's office. He will hire her as his personal secretary. Bharat's manager has an eye on her, but rejects him. He bent on getting her, by threatening to tell Bharat she is not good. She manages to overcome this by working very hard to prove she is a capable personal secretary. She did bungle up a few times and received the Bharath's wrath. In this job she is required to dress modernly ( no churidhars or saris) as its an international dealing company. Dr. Maha does not like the way Ramya dresseses and also she works very late. Dr. Maha tried to advise and tell her to change job but Ramya is very obstinate and adamant that she will work in that office to achieve her dreams to become rich and famous in the business. Bharat takes a liking to her.

Gradually , Bharat reveals his story of he became a successful businessman.

He was poor and he joined this company ( his current company) . He worked just like how Ramya did very dedicated and one day his boss calls him and tells him that his boss wants Bharat to marry his only daughter Jyothi. Bharat was reluctant initially but then gave in. Before marriage he was introduced to Jyothi but on the first night of marriage, Jyothi started behaving like a mad woman. Bharat confronted his father in law why he married his crazy daughter, but father in law said she will get better and Bharat wanted reneged this marriage but FIL threaten him. So he stayed in his loveless marriage and when his FIL died , he inherited all the properties and business. He told Ramya he loves his wife Jyothi so much that he is treating medically at home. Ramya is moved by his passion for his wife and his ambition to succeed in life.

Ramya starts visiting Bharat's house to meet Jyothi and Jyothi seems to be calm in the presence of Ramya and calls Ramya her Amma. All 3 will take a business trip to Delhi, Ramya did not get permission from her mother, but despite of that she went with Bharat and Jyothi. During her trip she took care of Jyothi. Upon returning, the jealous manager started making stories about Bharat and Ramya. Ramya cannot stand and she informs Bharat but she pleads with Bharat not to sack the Manager. Bharat has plans ringing up in his head. Offer a transfer to the Manager to a brand new Singapore office.

Meanwhile , Bharat promoted Ramya as Export Manager with higher pay after she successfully quoted and won a business deal for the company. This further irks the Manager , who then reports all this to Jyothi's Dr Uncle who always insists why Bharat does not want to take Jyothi to hospital for treatment. He confronts Bharat and Ramya in Bharat's house. Later , he approaches Dr. Maha and explains Bharat's lustful motives to her and ask Dr. Maha to visit Jyothi and assess for her self medically on Jyothi condition and also to warn and keep Ramya away from the lustful Bharat.

Dr.Maha visits Jyothi with Ramya and observes Jyothi. And she also makes another visit to Jyothi alone ( which Bharat comes to know through the gardener ( makes me wonder is the gardener loyal to Bharat or Jyothi's uncle as Jyothi uncle said he planted the gardener to spy on Bharat????) and she sees the medication given to Jyothi is not to cure her but only to keep her sedated heavily when Jyothi is out of control. Dr. Maha then reports this to Jyothi's uncle and they plan to do something good for Jyothi…Let wait and see….

Meanwhile, Ramya has been receiving mysterious calls and then finally the caller claims he is the murdered Madhu who is taking revenge now. Ramya panics whenever she receives this call. Who is this caller actually? Is it her father DG Rajashekar ( former ASP) who is deeply investigating this case who planted a guy to blackmail Ramya in telling the truth????

Prabhu is Dr. Maha's adopted son . Dr. Maha;s sister gave birth out of wedlock and left the child under Dr. Maha & ASP care. Dr. Maha received calls from her estranged sister from USA. The sister wants to be reunited with her son and take him back to USA. Will this happen will have to wait and see. Meanwhile , he too took up a job as a pizza delivery boy to help the family.

Amudha the youngest is a good cook and housekeeper. Amudha and Hema ( Saraswathy daughter in law) are planning to start a small dried foodstuff business. Meanwhile Amudha's life is in danger thanks to her good for nothing Saamiyar Chittapa & his scheming wife Laila and her mandheeravadhee mother. They almost got her charmed, luckily Dr. Maha saved her from sleepwalking out of the house. They are still scheming to get Amudha and sacrifice her to their god to avenge the death of Laila sister, whom Laila says was caused by ASP. Thus she wants to destroy ASP's family. Will they succeed in kidnapping Amudha?????

SARASWATHY'S FAMILY ORDEAL

Saraswathy has got 2 sons Raman ( medical rep) and Lakshman ( who drinks and squanders his wealth). Hema is her daughter in law ( Raman's wife) . The story goes that one day Saraswathy and Raman attended a wedding, it was Hema's wedding, the mappilai did not turn up so Saraswathy took pity of the girls family and asked her son Raman to marry Hema. Raman reluctantly married Hema and brought her home..Surprise surprise surprise waits for Hema at her MIL home….her lover is now her Brother in Law…Raman;s brother Lakshman..Lakshman then decides to be come devadass…drinks & rowdy etc….2 years in marriage , it was never consummated between Hema & Raman.

Surprise surprise surprise, Raman has a lover , a Chrisitian lover called Maria. Lakshman seen both Maria & Raman together and started probing his brother. Raman was not bothered and started creating stories about Hema & Lakshman whom he suspects something. Later on, his Raman friend who came to the house revealed that Hema had a boyfriend before marriage and Raman used this excuse to pester Hema for divorce. Hema's grandma told Hema not to give in.

Raman then finds out Hema's lover is Lakshman so he pretends to torture her by beating her and blackmailing her that he will tell the truth to his mum & Hema family. Hema begs him and finally agrees to sign the divorce papers. Raman also threatens Lakshman not to interfere in his business, especially when Lakshman found out that Raman had hired a lady to play as his mother ( that lady turn out to be Lakhsman's friend mother) to meet Maria and her family to agree on the upcoming wedding and conversion of religion. Maria's family wants Raman to convert and then marry Maria( basically Maria's parents are dead against the relationship but no choice had to given when Maria said Raman and she have been living as husband and wife) .

One day Hema's grandma overhead a teleconversation between Raman & Maria (Maria asking Raman for his Birth Cert for the marriage). Raman said he will courier it to Maria house and wrote her address down. Patti ma decides to do some sleuthing and when straight to Maria house and met Maria & mother. Patti ma claims she is Raman's grandma, but she played so well that she found the Raman's mother had came to the house and agreed and blessed their relationship and give consent to their upcoming marriage and conversiion). Patti ma was shocked but did not show instead she chided them for being so nave in believing everything, anyway she said she will come again when Maria ' father is around to speak to them on this matter….Interesting , can't wait for that episode..

Episode 150 ( 07/10/2010)

Ramya gets a mysterious call from Madhu asking her to commit a murder. This time its going to be Jyothi and she will find the poison in her bag to the job. Exactly she goes to to the bag and finds wondering how it got there?? She said she will not do it but the caller threatens her that he will reveal to the police of Madhu murder and she agrees.

She goes to Bharat's house and see Jyothi hitting Bharat. Bharat ask Ramya to give Jyothi some milk and he is going to take his bath. He goes. Ramya cries and deliberates whether to mix the poison into Jyothi milk, which eventually she will do it. As Jyothi takes the hot milk to her lips , Jyothi drops the cup down and there goes the poison milk. Ramya instantaneously gets the call and the caller said I am watching , but its not your fault the milk spilled.There is always next time to do the job. Bharat then comes and sees the mess and takes Jyothi downstairs for tiffin and invites Ramya to join them. Ramya is stunned and starts crying.

Meanwhile Easwary ( played by Sneha the snake in Chellame) is informed by her maid that her lawyer has come to see her. She calls him on his mobile instead of seeing him face to face. She queries him why he did not call before coming . He said its important and regarding the will. ( They have illegally prepared a will saying Easwary father had left all properties to Easwary and partially to her demised brother Madhu and nothing for his Easwary's father's first wife and son) . Now lawyer demanding more money. Easwary scolds the lawyer and ask whether he is blackmailing her. They want oru koodi ruba.. Easwary knows that the lawyer is the one who is asking. Lawyer denies and Easwary ask lawyer to bring the people who is asking the money ( the people whom the lawyer claimed transferred and prepared the will). Lawyer blackmails Easwary that if she does not meet his demand by tomorrow, she will be kammbee ennaraning…She calls him a cheat and he turns around and say who is the big time cheat here.

Meanwhile in Saraswathy's house everybody is eagerly waiting for Gayathri Saraswathy's daughter. They all excited to receive her. All her brothers enquire about her and her husband and when Raman ask her why her husband did not come she said he could not get leave from work. She look forward to have a cup of coffee from her mother. As she settles down, Saraswathy ask her whats is the good news ( how many months are you pregnant???. She deliberates while drinking coffee and ask her who told you so that I was pregnant and I did not tell mother I was pregnant. Saraswathy thought when Gayathri said over the phone there is a veesayshum, Saraswathy thought it was good news that she is going to be a grandma soon alas not the case. Gayathri says she did come back to give birth but to stay with them permanently…and she walks away to freshen up and promises to tell them what happened later....

At Dr. Maha's house, Dr. Maha polambaraning to Amudha regarding Ramya's close relationship with Bharat. Amudha tells her mum why not ask Ramya to leave her present job, but her mother says Ramya will not easily leave her job without kicking a big fuss. Dr. Maha then thinks its best that it comes out of Ramya's mouth about the truth and she herself (Ramya) should say she wants to quit her job. Dr. Maha is going to think how to word it right to Ramya …thodarum
