Someone, pls tell me it was a bad dream!!!

Hi Folks,
I can't seem to be able to swallow my disappointment and my sadness after watching today's epi. I have so much faith in the CVs because thus far, they had really held true to the promise of making it a different love story - one without misunderstandings, just their honest story of love and struggle and friendship.........But today, OMG, it seems to have taken a turn along the same lines as so many other shows have gone.

1. Geet had never told Maan the name of the guy who ruined her life but today instead of telling him that the guy who is responsible for ruining her life is here, she says, Dev is here. How is that consistent?

2. Just as Maan senses that something is not right while talking to Geet about Dev, there is a knock on the door and he has to answer it while Geet disappears.

3. Dev is actually saying that (and I am paraphrasing) 'Geet ki vajah se bro ki life......something like 'barbaad na ho or such' don't exactly remember. He should have said 'meri vajah se' why 'Geet ki vajah se'? C'mon, the guy needs a major bashing. He doesn't even make sense anymore. I just wish he disappears forever, as far as I am concerned.

I had really expected something along these lines: An alternative scenario much more in keeping with the story of Geet so far.......


Geet takes Maan into the room to tell him what happened:

Geet - 'vo yahan hai'
Maan - (immediately sensing Geet's agitation) 'Kaun, Geet? Bolo na!'
Geet - 'vo, ....vo jisne mere saath dokha kiya.'
Maan - (shocked) kya? vo yahan? (Suddenly filled with anger) Kaun hai vo, batao mujhe, main use chhodoonga nahin. Uski himmat kaise hui. Bataao Geet kaun hai vo?'
Geet - (in a daze) vo...vo ...uska naam Dev hai.'
Maan - (Stops in his stride, incredulously) Dev?
Geet - (now sobbing) haan! jab main use sazaa dene ke liye dhoondh rahi thi to vo nahin milaa, Phir aaj kyon mere saamne aa gayaa? Aaj jab hum ek doosre ke hone vaale hain, ek saath jeevan ki shuruaat karne vaale hain. Kyon?
Maan - (pulls Geet into his embrace, a mixture of incredulity, shock, and anger shimmering in his tear-filled eyes). He is speechless. He only knows that whatever happens he can't let this ruin what they have together. That he needs to deal with Dev on his own, without involving Geet.
He says to Geet, 'tum yahaan baitho, main tumhare liye paani lekar aataa hoon. Ghabrao mat Geet, main hoon na. Tumne hi kahaa tha na ki tum apne atit ko kabhi hamare beech nahin aane dogi? To, socho mat, main sambhal loonga sab, tum bas apne aap ko sambhaalo, haan!'

Gently, makes Geet sit on the bed, goes out and sends in Pinky to be with Geet with some water. And goes in search of Dev with a determined stride and murder in his eyes!

Take that Dev, you rat!

cant agree more on dis yaar..........u have said it all..........kya zarurat thi dev ka naam leneki........she never speaks right thing at right time......i was so pissed........

jab naam lena tha tab to kaha nahi ki dev ka naam......and aaj........bad timing..........

So, so true. You wrote exactly what I was thinking. I am very disheartened, disappointed, depressed and sad. Why couldn't CV's be a little different? We all were hoping that luchha Dev for once will act like a human being instead of a rat [that's too nice a word for him] and will tell Maan everything. But no, CV's took it in such a wrong direction and at least for today made it EKTA show. Hope tomorrow they show something better than this track.

I am disappointed..they should have hold the geet and dev meeting face to face for few days so we could have enjoyed the engagment. Maan looks so happy...my god.....I want to maneet to so happy on their engagment and now :(

While I understand where you are coming from, you need to put yourself in Geet's shoes. She just got a shocker of her life. She was in no condition to think clearly and the only words she cud think of was that "he is here"!! - this according to me was a natural reaction.She also had no inkling abt Dev being Maan's brother. Blurting out abt Dev to Maan wud have been a complete mess and wud have also created misunderstandings...
