Now What is still FAKE?

In friday's episode, when Geet was wearing fake jewellery, why does Geet think that this Engagement is FAKE although the relationship is not?What makes Geet think Engagement is still fake?After all that convincing and sweet talk by Maan, is Geet still confused like me?

Baby we are also so much confused abt that line!

First of all where did geet get that awful piece of jewellry?

secondly, not wearing what Dadi gave her for the engagement would have hurt dadi a lot.....

Thirdly, coming to your point....why did the girl think the engagement was fake? Geet ke liye issara kafi nahin hai.....sab kuch khulam khulla bolna padtha hai.


That's why clever Maan called her out to tell her so using the metaphor of the fake necklace.

Plus, the cvs wanted to show us how well Maan knows Geet and put in some romance while they were at it!!😉

I think the reason why she still considered the engagement as fake is because Maan never explicitly told her that the engagement was not. Remember initially when Geet was looking out for a bride for Maan under Dadi's instructions, Maan had said he does not intend to get married? Later he said that he wants to have a fake fiance for the sake of Dadi. Maybe she thought Maan was averse to the idea of marriage per se. Although they have confessed their feelings for each other and even taken a vow their days will begin and end with each other, it does not clearly say that they will get married. She could be under the impression that Maan wants to have a live-in relationship with her without actually getting engaged or married to her in the formal sense. That is why she made the remark but Maan dispelled her doubts and made it clear he wants a real engagement which implies that he wants a real wedding too.

before she was telling fake as...they awere in ove with each other..yes that is true..but the engageemrnt thing was made up for dadi..it was actually not truthfull naa.thats y..

but wen was she ocnfused after maan said ...maybe still she might be thinking that abt the lies on not telling maan abt her fight for the culprit...who knws..all confusing to me~~

After the bhangra dance, when Dadi says " Hum To Aap Dono ki Dil Ki Baat Tab Hi
jaan Gaye The Jab Apne Pehalibaar Sagayi Ka Jikar kiya tha." After this, Maan and Geet exchange a glance that shows Maan how uncomfortable Geet is feeling when Dadi refers to the time when they had 'fake' engagement, but Dadi thought it was genuine. "Aap Ki Sagayi Ne Hume Jeene Ki wajah dedi." They again exchange a meaningful look after this dialog which further confirms Geet's hesitation because for Dadi's sake, this has indeed started as a fake. She further enforces this when she thinks "Dadima is mngnise kitni khush hai. Aur hum unse jhoot bolrahe. Bhalehi hamari rishte main sachchayi ho, magar yeh magni to jhooti hain na" . They have only talked and cleared up things between them just the previous night. But, the mangni till now has been based on false premises; i.e. false impression that they have given to Dadi. I think this is the reason why she feels uncomfortable and still refers to the engagement as fake.

I also think that this is really what makes Geet feel uncomfortable to accept the Khandani Jewelary that Dadi has presented her. Eventhough she could not hurt Dadi by rejecting them outright, she is firm in wearing the fake jewelary by thinking that she will wear only that which she can afford to. When the girl who is decorating her said "Aaj Kal To Sab Apne Kapade Ki hisab Se Artificial Jewelary Pehenta Hai, Kyu Geet?", Geet says "Mujhe Yeh Sab Nahi Pata. Main Wahi Pehanoongi Jo mein pehensakthi hoon." I think this dialog supports this line of reasoning.

i agree with u guys, i think she thought the engagement was fake cuz she thought that they were doing it only for dadi's sake. That's how everything started, that Maan needed a fiance for dadi's health. Now that they finally came clear about their feelings, Geet still remembered that they were doing it for dadi....but Maan cleared the misunderstanding in that last scene...he showed her that their engagement was real...they were not doing it for Dad's sake, but cuz he really wants it.
